We arrived very early and I understand our will not be ready at that time but they will not let you use their facilities till noon which was disappointing as we good to Cancun 3 times and they always let you use their facility while you wait for the room

We had a great time here at Barcelò. All the staff were amazing and wonderful ❤️. The only two issues that we had was that the hot tub was always turned off. Also, the 2nd issue really makes me so upset that i might cancel my next reservation. I ordered an Uber around 10:30pm to pick me up from the hotel driveway. As soon as the Uber arrived, the security guy asked the driver, my wife and I to basically walk to the street to take the Uber. I was very surprised that a guest at this hotel must take their transportation (Uber or Taxi) on the street. The security guy told me that "this is the hotel policy ". (UNBELIEVABLE).

I’ve stayed in a lot of all inclusive resorts across Mexico(on and off season)…the area is gorgeous. I loved the San Jose del Cabo area along with the location of the resort in proximity to the downtown area. The staff was kind, room was nice and clean and resort grounds were well cared for and quiet. I was disappointed in the food quality as it was sub par at best and the selection. They list 5 restaurants but only 1 is open nightly and the other option is the buffet which serves similar food every night. If you are looking for a quiet clean resort that is walkable and safe, this is your spot but know going in that the food and amenities are very limited. And the quality is going to be on the low end.

Great service. All of the buffet options were excellent, but the food in the sushi restaurant and mediterranean(?) restaurant was not great. Disappointed that the pumps on the infinity pool overlooking the sea were not working and it appeared the pool was slowly leaking. Beautiful sunsets from Sky Bar in the “lighthouse.” The lobby lounge is a great space and has potential for a fun vibe for happy hour and evening if they put some effort into the music playlist but it was always playing spa/elevator music unless their evening entertainment was happening. Music at the pool was terrible too… they played the exact same awful playlist every day. Great service, clean rooms, good linens and comfortable bed, great area and LOTs of options for dining off resort. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Liked our room, beautiful views. Bed comfortable (Stayed premium junior suite). Food was not my favourite - loved the salad bar, Italian restaurant had some good options, egg station good for breakfast although same bowls used for mixing - not very concerned about allergies and I am not sure how but the hash browns were awful - not sure if they had been reheated or what but like the French fries we tried once - cold and stale. Customer service was lacking as well. May have been because we were there in slower season. Enjoyed the water aerobics and the gym was great.

The property was great, lots of pools and a huge lobby bar. The pool snack bar should be stocked with sweets like ice cream for example. Staff was awesome all around.

I went here alone for my birthday and I couldn’t have asked for better people on staff. They were super kind and most of them spoke English so communication was no issue! As a woman traveling alone I often have to be on guard but I felt very relaxed and safe here. They even sang me happy birthday and gave me a big piece of tres leches! The man who hosted karaoke did a great job with entertainment as well. Honestly such a wonderful experience when I come to Cabos again I will stay here again

The property is in good and clean condition, needs to be updated a little bit. Service was the best of all, from the front desk, restaurants & bars they where always willing to go above and beyond, but the one it did stand above all was Martha from Las Olas restaurant, she made us feel like home regardless how busy she was she always tried to take care of everything under her area, and even when we were sitting in an area wasn’t assigned to her she always took care of us regardless.

Terrible food! Way understaffed. ( at one point there was one bar open ( at 1pm) with one bartender serving the ENTIRE resort. One waiter in the pool area, one waiter at the Japanese specialty restaurant. ( sushi was horrible). Menu VERY limited. The soup was barely warm and they did not have the means to heat it up! lol. The buffets were very mediocre. When we checked out, no one even asked us about our stay! We live in La Ventana( 2 hours north) and stayed a couple nights. WE LOVE SAN JOSÉ. We know this town well. But I would HIGHLY recommend you look elsewhere. Btw. I never do reviews but this was merited.

Cabo is a beautiful place so you will experience that here, but we were not impressed with the resort. You’re limited in how many nights you can make a dinner reservation based on how many nights you’re staying, and the rest of the nights are forced to eat at the buffet which wasn’t overly impressive. We had never been to an “all inclusive” where they offered lobster, but at an additional charge. Offered Prosecco, but at an additional charge. Offered room service, but at an additional charge. The entertainment was lacking but if you find yourself here, check out the sky bar before sunset. There are amazing 360 views of the city.

Very basic resort. Bedding was two flat sheets and a light blanket, no fitted sheet which made it a bit uncomfortable. No face cloths in the bathroom so had to use a towel. Pool service was extremely slow.

This was one of the best all inclusive vacations we have ever had. Right from check in to check out, the staff were so amazing! Our room was very clean and comfortable, with a beautiful view of the grounds and ocean. The food variety was a pleasant surprise compared to other all inclusives, where variety gets challenging after the first few days. We felt very safe and secure in and out of the resort area. A big shout out to Axel and Yamaleet at the lobby bar! They went out of their way to make us comfortable! We will be back for sure!

Most staff do not know any English, continuous no hot water for showering, never restocked fridge daily like suppose to, only a couple alcartes that were very sticky with dress code. The men had dress shorts & dress shirts on & the woman all had on nice dresses & we got denied going in. Pools were dirty. Pre booked, paid extra & confirmed our private shuttle for pick up & they never showed up and we had to pay again and take a cab. Would not stay here again.

This was our first time staying in San Jose Del Cabo. We loved the location of this resort, felt safe walking to the La Comer down the road and the 2 mile walk into the art district/town square. We walked into the town square twice during our stay & ended up staying until dark & never felt unsafe walking back. We had the premium upgrade, our room was labeled as beach view and it was a great location as it was on the end cap of the Estrella building facing the ocean. The premium upgrade was worth it in our opinion for the room location and the separate bartender at the premium pool. The main pools bar consistently had a line of people waiting for drinks, i dont think there were a lot of waiters coming around to peoples chairs to take drink orders. Also, taking food back to your lounger from the buffet was not allowed but with that said, that pool buffet food was pretty awful. We didnt have any issues reserving a spot in the specialty restaurants. The sushi restaurant was awful, dont bother. Great view from bar above but dont waste your reservation eating at sushi. Really enjoyed our food from the mexican specialty, go for the steak! Not great service at either. Breakfast buffet was consistently good, take the time and wait for the hot stations! Breaking larger bills was nearly impossible. We've gone to Los Cabos twice a year for the past 3 years, weve stayed at a few different all inclusive resorts, Barcelo was fine but we would not stay again or recommend to others.

Resort could use a bit of updating. We woke up one morning with no water in our room. Drink were not as good as we’d hoped. Overall. We only slept in the room. So much more to see than just the resort.

My room flooded first night and had no toilet or shower-yet despite this I had to talk to four people in order to change rooms. The room I was transferred to was not the upgrade I had previously . No one ever mentioned the limit for restaurant reservations based on number of nights staying- I had to ask for an extra reservation as a perk for my inconvenience previously. The wait staff at the pool and restaurants were amazing. The Vegas show was very entertaining. Overall I think next time I go to Cabo I will try a different resort.
