    Get's the job done.

    It's alright if you don't mind trading quality and privacy for price.

    crack house is what we jokingly nicknamed this hotel

    when i saw the pictures of this hotel online i was impressed. when i walked up to the hotel i saw a nice place. when we got on the elevator to go up to the room it was a bit scary and when we got off and walked down the hallways we had a look of shock on our faces. it smelt musty and old, the carpets were old, it felt old. when we opened the door to our room we were in shock. i saw the pictures online and it was nothing like i had expected. the bed was very uncomfortable and it felt like we were in an 8x8 jail cell. it was mid july and there was no air conditioning so we had to open a window that dropped down 4 storys with no bars or screen. the bathrooms were something you would think of in an old gym or military baracks. we didnt recieve any rags so we had to wash with our hands. i had came to spend time with my husband before he deployed and we decided not to spend our few days together at a place like that. we stayed the first night in his baracks on base on a twin size bed. our hotel room was that bad. the next morning i packed my things from the hotel and we found a condo that was much nicer.

    Neighbourhood recommendations: mission beach is a great place with nice condos and attractions

    Getting around: we rented a rental car to get around because taxi cabs cost 2.50 per mile. be sure to bring a gps because we would be so lost with out it

    Great Location Will Stay Every Time I'm in San Diego

    The hotel is a hostel located in a historic building a block from the train station and blocks from a lot of activies. The rooms are very basic and the extremely clean private bathroom facilities are down the hall. If necessary, bring your own reading lamp. There are kichen facilities to use on the 2nd floor. The staff is extremely helpful and pleasant. Great bargain! I'll be back

    Neighbourhood recommendations: Gaslamp quarter, Little Italy and Old Town are very close. USS Midway is within walking distance.
