A week at Al's Auto Attic
Al's Auto Attic is an adorable cozy place that met our needs perfectly. It is decorated with an automobile theme that we all really liked. The beds were very comfortable and the water pressure and temperature were awesome!! Gail was very friendly and check in and check out were very easy. Our porch overlooked the pretty courtyard which was relaxing. The location was great for all the things we wanted to do. I would definitely recommend this property and will stay again when i come back to San Antonio

Cozy loft
This was exactly what i was looking for. We had a great stay experience. It was very private, and cozy. Everything we needed was within driving or walking distance of the property. I felt recharged after the stay. Definitely would stay here again, as it is stress free from beginning to end.

Design Meets Hospitality!
A VRBO stay enables you to "live like a local" when visiting some place new. We certainly felt this staying at Al's Auto Attic. Charming, unique, cozy, comfortable are just a few words that come to mind when describing this San Antonio treasure. Conveniently located to Missions National Park (blocks away) and The Riverwalk, we felt San Antonio was at our doorstep We loved overlooking the yard as we sat on the porch with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine. Pecan Grove Estates is a treasure and features many personal touches. We can't imagine staying anywhere else in San Antonio!

Cool location
Host was very friendly and helpful. The location was safe, parking was easy and secure, and the home was decorated so cool! Loved it. Recommend getting coffee and breakfast at Commonwealth Coffee and visit New Braunfels and eat at Gristmill River Bar and Restaurant. It’s built inside ruins of a gin. Great food and atmosphere!!

Wonderful stay!
The Al’s Auto Attic was truly such a wonderful stay! it was completely gated which made us feel very safe. There were plenty of great restaurants and things to do around the area. It wasn’t too far from downtown but far enough to feel safe. Everything was perfectly decorated and we will definitely be returning. Thanks again!

Great Getaway!
We had the opportunity to stay here during a trip to watch the Alamodome Bowl game. It was close to the riverwalk and Alamodome--nice and cozy feeling!

Very pleasant and comfortable stay.
Very neat theme. I love automobile history, so this place was extra fun for me. My wife and I enjoyed our visit very much. Plan to visit one of the other rooms when we return in six months.

Just what we needed for a weekend getaway
We had an incredible stay at Al’s Auto Attic at Pecan Groves Estates. It was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed for a relaxing weekend getaway. We drove down from Fort Worth to watch our son’s band competition at the Alamodome. The location was great, and the host was wonderful. We can’t wait to come back!

Little Oasis
Al's Auto Attic is a charming and convenient place to relax and unwind after a full day of exploring San Antonio. It's so close to the best sightseeing locations that we could even come back midday to enjoy a swim before heading out for more of the city's sights. Make sure to talk with the owner if you're going to be a late check in. They have some rules that are not on the VRBO listing. We would definitely come back the next time we're visiting SA.

Quaint getaway
Al’s Auto Attic was a great place to stay for a short getaway. It was unique and I loved all the little ways they decorated with the theme of the place. The loft is perfect for a child. The master bed was comfortable. We stayed here while we toured San Antonio and loved it. It was a perfect place to sleep while vacationing. The space is small, so if you’ll be spending much time there keep that in mind. The neighborhood was a little sketchy but I felt safe as the rental was gated. The hostess was very sweet and helpful. She gave us great suggestions to visit while we were in town. I would recommend this to couples wanting a quaint little stay in San Antonio!

We have stayed at this place numerous times and have loved the property and of course Gail. So much so, that when it came to find a place to propose...it was an easy choice. It was perfect and Gail (as always) is so helpful and engaging herself. She also celebrated with us. This is a place that we have always said was like a home away from home. Now it has a piece of our hearts as well.

This was great for our family of 4 for a quick getaway. We weren’t in the rental much but when we were, it was great. We appreciated meeting the owner when we arrived and especially were grateful for the restaurant recommendations. Go to Bobbie’s for breakfast!

The property is unique and as advertised.
We are very familiar with San Antonio and knew up front that the property was located in a low income area but also an area convenient for tourist activities. It is very safe and beautifully landscaped. Our unit was uniquely designed and super cute. Stephy and Gail provide a clean and sanitized living space. Any and all interactions we had with them were very friendly and all questions we had were immediately answered. We were impressed and customer satisfaction is 100%. We would definitely stay there again.

The Auto Attic was exactly the perfect place for our stay in San Antonio. The entire property was beautiful, and well tended. Although some might hesitate based on the neighborhood, once you get inside the gates to the property, you feel safe and like you are in the lap of luxury! Gail, was very welcoming and helpful. Place was smaller than expected and the beds were not very comfortable and it was on the 2nd floor so there were stairs we were not prepared for but otherwise it was amazing. We only cared about the stairs because my friend has cancer and they were difficult for her.

We went to San Antonio for the Def Leppard/Motley Crue/Poison/Joan Jett Stadium Tour. This is a beautifully maintained property. It's very quiet and peaceful. The Attic was uniquely decorated. The king size bed was extremely comfortable with luxurious sheets. You can tell that a lot of thought and love was put into the decor and entire property. I would have loved to have stayed longer but the real world awaited.

Very cozy, cute decor, but rough neighborhood
The decor is very cute and nicely equipped, but the listing is in a rough neighborhood. The space is behind a locked gate and the property is adorable, but homeless people had set up camp across the street the night we checked it. Would not have felt safe here without my husband. Al's Attic has 2 beds but ceiling is open between the rooms, so it doesn't offer much privacy between the two spaces.

Secret garden Hideaway!
It's a good location in regards to being close to highway acess so it's a 20ish (depending on traffic) min drive to Fort Sam Houston! They have private parking behind gated entrance. Great pool and gorgeous property. Has a cool porch to sit and enjoy evenings or mornings. Very relaxing. Decor is so perfect!! Very COLD air-conditioning. Full flight of stairs to access front door; ok with us but take into consideration if you have heavy bags or ♿️. We will stay here again it's a great place.

The Auto Attic is REALLY nice! VERY comfortable & everything you need to enjoy your stay. Gated off street parking is a DEFINITE plus! Property is quaint and charming. Only issue we had is they only give one remote to get in/out of property gate(the only way in and out of property) , we were 4 adults with different schedules, so this made it very difficult; we asked if there was another option and were told no. We really liked the space! I would have liked to stay longer. The grounds are spacious and filled with native wild flowers and butterflies. The pool looked inviting and stays cool even if it is blistering outside. My only regret is that I didn't have an opportunity to talk to the owners. We communicated via text messages mostly.

So we had booked July 16th through the 18th for our wedding getaway (getting married on the 18th). I had planned lots of stuff for our kids to do at Seaworld because this is a big weekend for all of us to be joining as a family. I had messaged and spoke to them on July 1st to inquire about early check in because we had booked stuff at Seaworld earlier in the day and I didn’t want my wedding dress to sit in the car until 4 pm check in. I let them know I would have booked the 15th, but my son had football practice until 8pm and it was a 4 hr drive for us. She said she couldn’t earlier check in and said I would still have to pay for the night before, but then I could come anytime. I wasn’t happy about it, but I booked the night before and we just decided we would load up and drive at night while the kids were sleeping. When we got here it was 2am and did not realize I would have to call and wake someone up when I got here. I called the number and of course Gail answered the phone and was not happy. After I explained to her the conversation she said she could do check in in the morning because they stopped doing check in at 10pm. I told her I had two kids with me and she huffed and said her husband had just had surgery. She came and let us in and seemed a little nicer then, but I was shocked this was how we were greeted. This is sup to be a special weekend for us, but now I have to deal with this lady the ready of my weekend until we check out on our wedding day… after she came out and gave us codes I looked back through the messages sent on July 1st and took screen shots of everything.

Property is beautiful along with the room! She’s got some other places on site to stay in also (so check those out for variety!) Super clean inside. Gated place to park. Super good hospitality even though we were there for one night. Had really good recommendations for the area and was sure to tell us to the “for sure” spots to hit up. Quick 10 min drive to downtown by the river walk. Would for sure stay again!

Great place for a quiet getaway.
We originally reserved this place for an even that was going to be taking place in San Antonio. Then snowmageddon hit and our school decided to not make the trip. I reached out to Stephy and she happily moved the dates for us, not once, but twice. The are isn't in the best of neighborhoods, but the property is gated and beautiful once inside. The inside was decorated nicely and everything was super clean. The family had a great time here during our stay. Thank you!

Precious VRBO!
We came to visit SA for our son’s 4th birthday and this was just the cutest VRBO rental. Little further to downtown than I realized, but that’s ok! We could’ve easily Uber’d if we didn’t have our children. It is located within a gated property along with the owners home and a few other little guest suites. (You’re given a gate opener to get in/out with during your stay.) Gail was very kind and helpful with all kinds of local info. She has lots of plush new bath towels, which was amazing with 4 of us. Coffee, tea and a few snacks are provided in the rental. Access to their pool. Cute porch and sitting area. The only issue we ran into was something VERY sticky on the outside of a garbage bag that was stored underneath the king bed. It seemed like it was from tape that had gotten hot and really melted onto the bag or something like that, but my toddler found it and I absolutely couldn’t get it off his hands! ***Overall definitely 5 star. ***
