Really nice stay
Very handy for mountain bikers, comfortable bed and nice and clean. Shower is a bit small but the lovely spa pool compensates. We would gladly stay again.

Selective to clintele
Myself and my husband had to knock on neighbouring doors to find our accomadation there was no sign post by the mailbox or address on the website, first time in Rotarua in pouring rain upset, frustrated, going on to the evening there was no sympathy from the owner when we finally found the place, this is not our first rodeo. Our stay was disappointing as a condo is not what I believe it to be, this was a basement apartment under the owners house, the photo of the CONDO was misleading. The 2nd day I went to visit family and my husband remained at the room the owner walked into the room whilst my husband was walking around in his underwear, the landlady quickly walked out without saying anything, no apology or explanation. The shower was absolutely disgusting the landlady said she was away, poor excuse,probably because we were maori she didnt clean it, never again, I hope this review deters Maori or any other dark skin ppl away from this basement apartment.

Beautiful Stay
Lovely stay. It was lovely to meet the owners on arrival. I live locally but was doing a staycation with my niece. The central lounge/kitchen is warm with the heater and both of us were very relaxed during our stay. The section is in a quiet area of Lynmore. Yes, you are staying in a small self-contained area of another person's home but it is still a peaceful home away from home feel. The little extras like coffee, milk and tea were a bonus that was not expected but appreciated surprise as I had forgotten my own milk. Thank you again. i will be sure to return if I am ever thinking of doing another staycation.

Happy guests.
This is a beautiful place to stay if you want peace and quiet and a good night's sleep. Warm and cosy, our hosts Valerie and Gordon were such wonderful hosts. Lovely to have met you both. I would recommend this place to people who love quiet evenings and being on their own. My daughter and I thank yous both for having us and we will be back again ❤️ I can't fault anything about it. Home away from home.

Good property, bad booking process.
Our overall stay was good. However, I will not be booking through Book-a-bach again. I found their booking system labourous and unnecessarily long winded. I admit that I'm not the most gifted on a computer but became very frustrated with the process.

Needs stand by what is advertised
The property is a couple of rooms with a great kitchen bench space looking out into the owners garden. Owners live directly above, something we didn't realise so you can hear them moving at times and the bedroom is below their toilet. My son and I had some work to do on our laptop during our stay of two nights so specifically needed a place that had wifi as advertised here. Couldn't connect but then the owner 'reset' and for the first night it was great. I even wrote a review in the visitors book, but that was a bit premature as by the next morning it was lagging again so its clearly not fibre. If you require a place with a reliable internet connection this might not be for you. One other issue was you can' t have the stand alone cook top plugged in and working with the heater on as the fuse 'pops'. Owners need to push it back in and told us just to text and let them know rather than ringing if this happens. Awarkward! We text second morning as lost power to finish cooking breakfast but no reply. And internet cut from us at 9.45am. 11am is stated as checkout, so services should be kept on until that time, that was another reason we chose to stay there, later check out but that turns out to be false, so for these reasons we won't be staying again. Pros were the cleanliness, thoughtful details of condiments for breakfast and milk waiting in fridge and the double bed was very comfortable, Also is in a nice suburb.

Excellent location, very friendly owners who made us more than welcome, made a nice change to have a place with lots of room, if i had one tiny criticism it would be to have a decent size fridge/freezer as not everyone eats out every night,being able to buy and keep even a frozen pizza makes a huge difference, having said that, i would not hesitate to return or recommend it!

Handy location
Quiet street next to school. Resurfacing work being done to Iles Road. Local traffic taking detour past school this week. Can recommend Lucky 7 Takeaways just around the corner. Waitangi weekend in Rotorua was fun. Local iwi put on a great event for the children and whanau at St Faith's in Ohinemutu.

This was a great place to stay with kids. Separate main bedroom, kitchen equip for cooking, access to laundry. Was central to all the main attractions in Rotorua.

We spent a weekend here. It is conveniently situated and easily accessible. All facilities as advertised are available. We did find the accomodation a little dark, but that might be attributed to the fact that the weather was not the best. We had a lot of rain. This is not the fault of the bach.

They lay out of the studio was awesome but the cleanliness really let it down. There were hair all in the sink and the vanities hadn't been wiped down. The place felt like it hadn't been vacuumed as we were picking up hair off the ground when picking things up. Location was great for us as we were at the redwoods most the time
