The hotel is in the heart of the old year. It should be noted very friendly and professional staff. There is a beautiful terrace on the 3rd floor with an amazing view of the old town. Of particular note is the highest quality massage in the spa.

This is a beautiful and historic hotel in the heart of downtown Quito. The staff was incredibly accommodating and made the entire experience elegant. It is on the Plaza San Francisco and is next to a beautiful cathedral. Just take into account extra time to get into and out of the area by car as the streets are very narrow and usually congested. Loved the property and would definitely come back. The best and most beautiful hotel in Quito!

The hotel location was perfect.. the room was nice and overlooked the San Francisco plaza.. the food was good too.. the staff weren’t so helpful when arrived, but the next day this was changed…

This Hotel is phenomenal. Perfectly located in the heart of Quito historic district. Hotel is fully renovated and staff is very friendly. Food in the restaurant is delicious. Café quiteño experience between 4-6pm at the lobby area is great!

Great Staff, Room and Food
The stay was incredible! The staff was extremely attentive and helpful. The breakfast and dinner were great, the room was clean and nice and we got a lovey bottle of champagne in our room with a nice card. The garden area in the hotel as well as the roof top view were fantastic.

Everything about our stay was wonderful! Casa Gangotena used to be a mansion and it is beautiful! The service was top notch. Everyone from valet to front desk to the restaurant was sooo nice and helpful. The food at the restaurant we good as well. I know it’s on the pricier side compared to other hotels but if you are looking for a beautiful place to stay with great service look no further.

Exception customer service!
A lovely, historic hotel, with great food and exceptional customer service. My husband suffered from altitude sickness during our stay in Quito, which forced us to eat every meal at the hotel. The food was varied, high quality and at a reasonable price. My husband required medical care and oxygen treatments all at no cost. The staff was very friendly and responsive to all requests. I am not sure my husband would have received the care he did at another Quito hotel. Five stars all around! Highly recommend with a great location in old town close to everything.

Gorgeous hotel in old town Quito! The room was very spacious and comfortable for our one-night stay. We enjoyed drinks on the rooftop with beautiful views of Quito and the restaurant was fabulous. The only disappointing part of our stay was the hotel's inability to accommodate a late check-out.

Beautiful hotel
The hotel is stunning. The room was huge, beautifully appointed and the bathroom was amazing. They even give you a complimentary bottle of Spanish Cava. The service is impeccable. The only thing that didn’t work properly was the internet in our room. It worked fine in the dining room.

Una Joya en el Corazón del Centro Histórico
Excelente ubicación en el Centro Historico de Quito. La casa 
Repúblicana restaurada con gran gusto y de exquisita decoración está inundada con rosas y orquídeas en cada rincon. La 
terraza del ultimo piso sencillamente espectacular. El desayuno, un buffet de gran 
variedad, de una cocina gourmet exquisita. El restaurante con variedad de platos. 

TODOS el staff, amables y serviciales. Doris, German, y Johnatan fueron de gran ayuda. Alfonso Diaz, el Concierge, la saca del estadio con base llena. El hotel ofrece sin costo, actividades que el dirige, que son imperdibles (Chocolate Quiteno, Museo del Carmen Alto, San Francisco Monasterio Patios y Destileria de Cerveza y San Francisco: Coro y Torre del Campanario) porque el le imprime su entusiasmo y carisma. Alfonso ademas nos ayudo con recomendaciones valiosas para conocer Quito a pie (no es necesario tomar un Tour), señalándonos todo en el mapa.. En fin, el fue la diferencia en nuestra estadia en Quito. El ama lo que hace y eso se siente. lo transpira por los poros! Funcionarios como el dejan huella en los huespedes. El nos brindó experiencias inolvidables con un servicio de excelencia! Sin duda Volveremos y pronto.

Staff was friendly and willing to please us,they made us feel like home, the property needs an overhaul, furniture, room´s carpet and tv is dated. Restaurant staff is awsome but the food was 7/10 at best. Roof bar/cafe was loud because the hotel allowed a bachelorette party to take place over there. For the price I expected more to be honest.

Beautiful hotel. Perfectly appointed. Great restaurant. When you walk in, you really have the sense that you've "arrived" somewhere special. And that experience continued throughout our stay at Casa Gangotena. One hiccup--I had spent a lot of time browsing the different kinds of rooms at the hotel. Some have murals, some have plaza views, some have balconies. I was obsessed with the murals and splurged on the Junior Suite, which was also one of the largest in terms of square footage. However, when we arrived we were told that we were "upgraded" to a Plaza View room. Besides the view, the room didn't feel like much of an upgrade at all. It was just a room, and a pretty small one at that. When I said I'd rather forego the upgrade for the Junior Suite that I booked, the truth came out. There was an issue with the toilet in the Junior Suite. On the website, the Plaza View and the Junior Suite are advertised at the same price point. So it was not an upgrade--just a lateral switch. I understand the instinct to give me a positive spin, but then you really have to deliver a wow factor. Even if though it was a fair trade, in the moment it left me with a "womp womp" feeling of disappointment. I think I would've preferred the truth . . . or an actual upgrade.

Beautiful hotel and lovely staff. Alfonso, consierge was wonderful. Thoroughly enjoyed stay. Only critique is dinner tasting menu was not worth the cost - wonderful flavors but execution of the dishes need work.

Hotel makes the stay much better
room 206 is the corner room. Its has three windows that look in all beautiful directions. And the roof top has public balcony that is very nice.

Just amazing...
The atmosphere of the hotel is like in a traditional rich house - nicely furnished, all details in the internal design touched and finalised in harmony, flowers all around, beautiful curtains, ceilings. Very helpful staff, you are treated very personally.
