The property is in a very good location. Beautiful area and grounds. Park like setting. Small number of rooms for the size of property making it feel very private. Very wide beach and clean. Lots of different owners of these units and depending on the owner as to how well kept up the unit is. We were in a unit that could have used some up dates and fixing such as patio and sink. Otherwise it was clean and very comfortable. We were only on second floor which made the stairs bearable. Third and forth floors not so nice. Lots of pools and chairs. We would go back.

I had to move the icebox out of the closet and buy a extension cord to make a place to make drinks or remove items from microwave . Not worth the money I paid for the room. No outside seating or view . Outside was beautiful grounds. Pools were great!

I would never go back we had bedbugs cockroaches dirty sheets management is the worst have bites all over they said it was the sun home now. Doctor says its bed bugs next time not going to los tules we learned the hard way hope everyone sees how our trip was what a waste of time so stay away

Lovely quiet Mexican resort. We started our stay with friends in a time share unit and stayed on a few more days. The studio that we rented was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The view of the back of the restaurant was OK ... but not outstanding. We would return to this resort which has six great pools, lots of ocean frontage, fabulous view of Banderas Bay, shopping and bank across the road, bus stop just outside, and a nice bar and restaurant

The large number of trees and plants around the property were wonderful and everything was very well maintained. The staff were helpful and friendly. The 8 pools were all very clean. The 3 sandy beaches were great. The food and drinks were an average price for the area. All was good.

The grounds are beautiful! The location is perfect with a direct view of the whole bay and town. The rooms are a bit dated but that didn’t bother us. The staff is incredibly friendly. We can’t wait to go back :)

Our unit had an partial ocean and pool view - we could hear the waves slapping on the beach. The A/C and WiFi were excellent. The bar fridge was a good size and the microwave was modern. The king bed and bedding was comfortable and the shower worked well, except for serious pipe vibration at certain flow rates. The ceiling lighting is poor especially over the sink. This could be easily remedied with swag lamps. The three table lights were okay.

My wife and I booked into Los Tules Villas Del Sol on a last minute, need-to-be-there basis so I could undergo shoulder surgery in nearby Nayarit province. Frankly, we had no preconceived ideas about the property--only its address for the Uber driver. When we arrived at Los Tules we were immediately impressed. The mature grounds, studded with palms and landscaped beautifully was a joy to behold. Check in was quick and efficient, and all the staff were both friendly and helpful. Our room, so we discovered, was on the 3rd floor of building No. 20. The small but adequate patio overlooked the Fiesta Americana next door, and the private beach set aside for Los Tules residents. The view from the patio was spectacular--the beach front, the ocean, the waving palms, etc., were all in plain sight. The room itself was dated, but clean. Apparently, Los Tules was built in 1981 as a timeshare facility. Hence the maturity of the grounds and the aged appearance of the buildings. Regardless, we were very comfortable in our room. The AC worked well as did the WiFi (my smartphone app recorded speeds averaging 45Mbps). The on-site restaurant served good, tasty food (if not a tad expensive), but there are a couple dozen restaurants and cafes within 10-15 minutes walking distance of Los Tules heading South along the main avenue. My shoulder surgery went well, and the Los Tules facility was an excellent place to begin my recuperation. 5/5 stars!

This property has a lot going for it. Los Tules is a great oasis, and is very unique in the Hotel Zone. The landscaping is beautiful, and the onsite restaurant is really tasty, reasonable, with a hard-working staff. LT could use a full-time painter to keep the units refreshed, and the various pools are very nice though not heated. There are no umbrellas for shade near the pool or on the beach. We had a two-story unit with partial ocean view. It was well equipped except for no hair dryer nor paper towels. They had a sign about conserving energy with the a/c, but no recycling containers anywhere on property, and no info re water conservation, and no bulk dispensers so lots of work to do there. We had cleaning every day except Sunday. The big problem we had was the terrible smell of urine outside the unit. It was so strong we could not open the kitchen windows and even sitting on the patio it could be pretty nauseating. The manager sat is was from cats, and there was one grey cat hanging around and getting fed on a plate right next to our exterior wall. They REALLY really need to do something about that... Even with my decent Spanish, the front staff was polite and professional, but not the kind of very warm and friendly folks we are used to in the U.S. I think that is mostly cultural. So overall, a very nice visit in a relaxing, quiet location in a very nice facility. If we returned, we would just be sure to request a different unit.

Very quiet place. Lots of space in and out of the rooms. Ideal spot for a relaxing vacation. If you don’t have a kitchen in your room, prepare to leave the property for meals. The restaurant there is OK, but limited in size.
