There was a big roach one night and small one the following night. Had to asked to fumigate and Lucy was great She cleaned with Clorox and asked me the following day, it it was fine. Food was ok, can have more variety and furniture should be updated

Hotel is located in a quiet, safe area, not far from the airport. Property landscaping is beautiful and well-maintained, hotel rooms and common areas extremely clean, and the beach area is stunning, clean and groomed daily. Staff are very kind, polite and attentive. This recent visit was our 5th at this all-inclusive resort. Only negative is alcohol is served in small plastic or paper cups which take away greatly from the experience. Buffet food assortment was a bit disappointing this trip, with limited variety and quality not as good as in past visits. Wouldn't hesitate to return thou!

AMAZING staff, great food, very very clean. Plenty of activities, beautiful beach. The facilities are a little dated, but VERY well maintained. Welcoming and friendly environment. Talented entertainment staff. Just fyi, there's sometimes a towel shortage, but that's not a complaint, just an observation. There's an adult-only pool and bar.

We had some issues at front desk due to having wrong rooms and putting us all separate. They said they didn’t have any other rooms available and they had other rooms available. After complaining about the room had to go back to the reception to change rooms. They didn’t give us the fruit plate the first day, and other little staff The cleaning staff was great specially Lucy and her team. Always friendly and helpful. The 3 concierge were good too. Furniture it’s very old and should renovate couple of stuff The food was ok

The check-in is poorly organized, and short staffed. Also there’s no orientation of the property or the amenities. The sound system of the theatre is terrible and outdated and lacking fans.( no fans at all) so is very hot even though is a mostly open space. The food quality and selection was very good.

The entire staff is fantastic. Friendly, courteous and always helpful, they go out of their way to ensure your stay is enjoyable. Learning your Spanish is important as many of the staff don't speak English or French. It is also respectful and they appreciate when you, at least try. Some guests smoke cigarettes in areas where they shouldn't be. I'd like to see a more aggressive approach regarding enforcement by the staff. Public areas, hallways and rooms should all be smoke free and most smokers are inconsiderate. That's my only concern. Otherwise, can't wait to come back!!

I have stayed at several resorts in Puerta Plata over the last 7 years. I go very often. This resort has the ambiance and character. The meals were always excellent whether buffet or restaurants. The menu options were fantastic whether you like local cuisine or other. The staff were phenomenal. I always saw the manager walking and insuring everything was perfect for the guests. I had the opportunity to have the Royal Package which had much to offer but privacy was key on beaches and lounges. I highly recommend this package. One of the biggest I must say is that other resorts attempts many times to sell timeshares. This resort a big NO for this. They make guests comfortable and accommodate what the guests would like. I the rooms are clean and room bed turndowns every night They do check often with you personally to ensure you stay is smooth Bottom line of this resort it’s a 5 star compared to others. Stay away from blue bays, senator and lifestyle. They pester to sell. Gran Ventana welcomes guests and treats them just as guests should be, accommodating and excellent service thanks to all

The food was amazing and the pools and beach were always amazing. On the day we left, the communication between employees on when busses where showing up or if you had to get a cab was very non existant, and we were sent multiple places to find people that werent even where they we suppose to be, and kept getting bounced around to different people. Its a very good thing to learn spanish or french when you go, and take US dollars if your traveling from out of country. Otherwise it was a good experience, and probably will go back :)

The room was cleaned everyday, water was provided daily, overall it was great I would highly recommend to seniors with mobility issues, while there was some walking I could handle it. Remember to inform that you need a ground floor room. The food was great. Wish there were more excursions that were for mobility challenged seniors

As returning guests, it was nice to see familiar staff. Once there you will realise why 30% are returning guests. Rooms were very clean, staff friendly and helpful. We did notice not too many receptacle to use chargers unless you use the bathroom. We didn’t have a pull up stem to plug the sink drain, you would think that housekeeping would notice that if clean around the faucet.
