I had stayed at this hotel before and have found it a pleasant place to stay. It is a good location, close by to good dining. The parking valets were very helpful since I needed help due to an operation.
The Nines is conveniently located in the middle of downtown Portland. The restaurant on the 8th floor lobby level serves fantastic breakfast fare, and the rooftop restaurant (including outdoor seating for good weather) offers outstanding pan-Asian cuisine, both reasonably priced. The bed was extremely comfortable. Unique architecture and design present a very hip and elegant setting for a delightful stay.
Room had a good style, not overly done, sliding door to the bathroom was narrow, but fine. It's simple, with a great view of the courtyard below.
The food as I read, is really very good.
The staff was attentive and always opened the door when we entered.
They were helpful with suggestions for the city, and had a great handout with
a list of restaurants available.
Again, the team there was very polite, not scripted which is why I choose these type of Hotels because they're not dry and corporate like so many of their competitors.
They seem genuinely sincere in their casual conversations.
So pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Great price for such a great location. Close to everything. Bed was incredibly comfy and I didnt want to leave the amazing bathroom. Awesome shower and a seperate soaking tub! So great.
