"Le Gite is quite small and quiet (no TVs, but good wifi), on a residential street, but only a half block away from a pedestrian street with quite a few restaurants. Pretty central location, but not right in the heart of tourist Montreal. Very nicely decorated house with lots of original art, and yummy breakfasts. Only downside are the stairs (not a place for the mobility impaired), and hard bed."

"The room is great - spacious and a comfortable bed and a balcony with a nice view over the city. Nice cosy bathroom, but the lighting needs attention as there’s not enough light in the bathroom. I was almost showering in the dark. Breakfast is included which is rare in Canada, but the choices are limited. Also the hot food is made in a huge amount before service starts, which is ok at the start, but after 2 hours the scrambled eggs look nothing like eggs and are tasteless. At least it was...

"Great place to stay and right next to the subway. Very easy to get around from here. Room had kitchenette and jacuzzi! Parking was easy and inexpensive. Great value and the staff was flexible and helpful "

"VERY rude staff. I purchased a room via debit card and when I got to the reception and showed them my receipt from online they told me they couldn’t accept debit cards and did not refund me for my rooms I already bought. They claimed they only accept credit cards however I bought a room there a week earlier with the same don’t card and they accepted it. The staff are on drugs, unstable, and constantly change their “ policy”stay away from this type of customer services. Still never got my refund...
