"It was a pleasant experience. I happened to be staying there when hurricane Sally hit. My room stayed fine. However, the lobby was damaged by the winds and rain, lost power and water. The staff and manager on hand were excellent. They didn’t act frazzled or anxious. They took care of matters and us guests. I really enjoyed the history of the hotel, too. "

"A solo visit. you pay for the location more than for the hotel. Staff was wonderful and friendly rooms are basic. The breakfast was a little below par for the high price you pay for it. "

"This hotel locked so closer to the beach. Rooms are clean. Paddle boards and kayaks are free. "

"Only complaint I have is there was minimal cookware in the kitchen. Had to ask for frying pan and extra silverware. There were only 2 plates and 2 coffee cups, no spoons and 2 forks and 1 knife. "

"We stayed for 9 nights. Our room didn’t have a very good balcony view so Jonathon at the front desk gave us a much better room with a great view. We truly appreciate him taking the time to make the experience so enjoyable. We also enjoyed the breakfast buffet and loved having David take care of us. The poolside restaurant and staff were outstanding. We never expected such great food and drinks with such friendly servers. We will be back!!!"
