"The location was the only thing good. All the rest was below mediocre. Breakfast very poor, the room was dirty with walls full of stains and mold. The bed clothing in doubtful conditions."

"I didn't like that I booked 2 rooms and I was giving 1 family room. There is a reason why people book 2 rooms, and it is to have more space. I spent 3 days in a tiny room with 4 beds inside because I was told they put poison on the other rooms to kill bugs, but on the very next day some new guests were there"

"This was a great experience overall, with the staff being some of the best in the industry, even with only the basic being offered. Having the best people with the right attitude names up for whatever shortcomings there might have been.. would def recommend them to anyone!!"

"Yvan is a fantastic host. He keeps beautiful gardens, pool and outdoor dining areas. Their Pousada rooms are very clean and comfortable. Best of all, Yvan is very helpful recomding dining restaurants and activities. You will have a great time at his Pousada."

"The staff at this hotel are lovely and the breakfast is amazing. It’s spotlessly clean and very quiet. The Juliana room has a comfortable bed and lovely views and I never saw a single mosquito but there are narrow internal spiral stairs to navigate which are tricky with luggage or if you have limited mobility. The staff do help carry luggage. As a solo traveler I cannot give a high score for the location though as it is a little deserted at night and the road naturally floods during the day when...

"Patricia (who speaks impeccable English) is a longtime resident of the area with many connections who is able to give recommendations for dinner or boating or history walks. She also serves a variety of very local fruits, coffee, butter, cachaça, etc. truly hospitable and highly recommended for a personal experience "

"Amazing place to stay when visiting Paraty. The apartments are extremely spacious and very well kept. Everything is clean and orderly. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The property is located on the outskirts of the main city but the historic city center is just a five mins car ride. Overall I highly recommend this hotel."

"The property was nice and spacious. Our room was next to the pool and kitchen where every day at 06.00 the staff would start chatting and shouting, which woke us up. Only three tables around the pool for breakfast, which were "reserved" so we had to eat in our room, which seemed pointless as there was plenty of space for more tables."
