"Good location, shame about the hotel"
In need of refurbishment which they said was going to be one in 2014. Reception staff good but waiters and bar staff probably thought they could do a better job if they didn't have guests to hold them up. Very good location oposite beach with good restaurants close by. Just as well as the food is not up to much.

"Excellent relaxing stay"
Just returned from a short stay at the H10 Punta Negra. Booked a standard room and given a free upgrade to a superior room. Made to feel welcomed back. Excellent breakfast, just had one evening meal in the restaurant which was exceptional. Very highly recommended.

"Excellent hotel"
Very comfortable, gave us a bottle of wine to celebrate my birthday! Close to beach and bus stops, but you hardly need to go anywhere as the facilities are so good!

"Second time around !"
Sol Cala Blanca is an excellent hotel in the best position in Palma Nova. This is the second time that we have stayed at the Sol Cala Blanca as it is in such a great position. It is great for people that wish to sunbathe on the beach as it is only across a pathway at the front of the hotel so sea views are a must ! strongly recommend up grading. Getting a sunbed around the pool is very difficult, people get up at the crack of dawn to put their towels on the beds so there aren't any available by 9.00 a.m. ish. The breakfasts are very good with a vast amount to choose from, continental or full English what ever takes your fancy. The rooms are large and are cleaned ever day, with clean towels as well ! The small down side in the room is that they don't have any drawers so all your clothes are on shelves or hung up, but I suppose that is my preference. The staff are very helpful and friendly, I noticed that people go back time and again so the staff have become friends with them. At night there is entertainment on, mostly singers, this is good if you can dance. We found that we had to pay for WI-FI, which isn't good for a 4* hotel.

"Fabulous, will stay there again."
Very welcoming staff who even helped my 3year old to speak Spanish! Good size room, fable view. Kitchenette basic but just everything you need. Lots of wardrobe space. Good bath and shower. No problems, no complaints. Highly recommended.

"Disappointing all round. Except location."
On our holiday we had 2 rooms for 2 couples. We arrived late at night and was given our rooms which both on the top floor and with a sea view, what we paid extra for when booking. We noticed that the rooms were not that pleasant to the eye with hard beds and and funny sewage smells in the bathrooms. Once we had woken in the morning I noticed the air conditioning wasn't working and asked the reception to correct this which they did. The showers in the rooms are not very powerful and either scold you or is freezing cold. Even though being in the top floor the bathroom had an infestation of ants and silverfish. The swimming pool isn't very clean and has insects in it, with one if us stung by a wasp floating in the water. The breakfast has plenty of variety if you are German or French which seem to populate the hotel. Very few English options. We asked for the wifi codes which was available but the wifi is only available by the bar or in the lobby bar the pool, which is only indoors and not very good fir connection. The view from the rooms were very nice and overlooked the beach. It's in a great location with many bars and restaurants that provide some good food. The beach is very nice and clean and very close. Would I stay here again? No. Was it value for money? No. Was it a comfortable stay? No. Is it a 4⭐ hotel? Definitely not. Maybe 3⭐.

"Amazing Palma Nova Hotel"
Stunning and easily best view over bay in the area for miles. Clean hotel with staff on reception who were simply incredibly helpful (apart from one - she knows who she is). We totally loved our stay - such a relief after the coach transfer dropped people off at some appalling hotels for us to arrive at this paradise. Massive apartment fitted with amazoing array of kitchen items, utility room. Anyone who says anything derogatory about this hotel is deluded, trust me! Or confused about what a truly smashing place really is - this is lovely!

"I'd stay again without hesitation (on top floors!)"
Wouldn't think twice about staying here again, bang in middle of Palma nova, walk everywhere within minutes! Our room wasn't ready on arrival, staff promised me sea view to make up for the wait and when I walked into my room the view blew me away! Everything you'd need to go self catering, ya need to take nothing! Balcony wasn't the most private I've ever had but I think quite a few apartments are private and obviously they kept themselves to themselves!

Pocket Guide: Mallorca Island Palmanova Hotels

A long-established purpose built resort on the western side of the Bay of Palma, Palma Nova is a home from home for British holidaymakers. Its three golden sandy beaches, Marineland (dolphin and seal shows), two water parks, and the Pirates evening show are perennially popular. Palma Nova merges with Magaluf, well-known for its bars and party atmosphere. By contrast, its other neighbour is the upmarket marina of Portals Nous.
