Even if our hotel room didn't have brown liquid stains all over the walls, or a bathroom so small that only 1 person could stand in there at a time, or a room so cramped that you couldn't actually sit in the chair at the desk because pulling it out hit the bed, or cable TVs so old that you couldn't even get a guide channel, I would STILL tell you not to stay here because management is greedy and cowardly.
We had to leave 1 day early due to a personal nightmare - our sitter lost our dog thousands of miles away, and they weren't able to find her after hours of searching. We have proof of the situation from various report filings & heavily shared social media posts.
I was sobbing when notifying 3 different hotel staff members what was happening & explained that we had to fly home early to find our dog. This was our worst case scenario - we were supposed to be enjoying our anniversary!
NONE of the staff even tried to help us directly; they brushed us off saying "Expedia would be the one to refund us" & to "call Expedia". We learned this WAS the hotel's choice, but they didn't want to tell us directly that they weren't going to approve a refund. Expedia attempted to explain the situation to hotel management several times over a few days. Ultimately, The Renwick made the choice NOT to give us a refund for the ONE day we left early, even given the situation!!
We have called the hotel numerous times & left a message since, & they won't call us back.
This place is GROSS!
