"Très bon emplacement pour ce très joli gîte qui permet d'atteindre rapidement les différents puys (Sancy, puy de Dôme, de Mary), Salers, vallée de la Jordanne, Lac Pavin... . La literie est confortable et le gîte très bien équipé. De plus, Jacques est de très bon conseil pour les excursions et est très attentionné. "We had a warm and friendly welcome, helped by our ability to speak French (Paul and Genevieve admit that they have very little English!). Be prepared with provisions and fuel when you arrive as the nearest shops are some distance away and likely to be closed at inconvenient times (for the English at least!). The only road into the village (3 houses!) is long and very narrow, testing the driver's manoeuvring skills in the unlikely event of on-coming traffic. We arrived at the start of Autumn with...

"Pretty house, well equipped and attractively fitted out, the perfect setting for our wonderful holiday. M. and Mme Mazieres are a delight, very welcoming hosts. We spent a lot of time relaxing in the garden, watching/listening to the many birds and insects, with the beautiful mountains in close view. The pretty village is a quite steep stroll down and back up to the house, about a kilometre each way, we oldies (mid-seventies) enjoyed the walk!"
