The hotel is very cute. The room was a nice size, clean, and comfortable. The bathroom nicely appointed. The staff are friendly and willing to do what they can to make your stay pleasant. The food was very good and the restaurant service fully attentive. I would love to go during the summer when all the hotels facilities are fully operational, from swimming pool to hot tubs. I bet it is even more pleasant then. No complaints, our stay was very comfortable.

The hotel was nice, very clean. Our room was also very nice and clean. The front desk clerk was very unfriendly and we seemed to annoy her even by checking in. The wait staff were pleasant. We were extremely disappointed the the hot tubs were not open. The main photo in their advertising is the hotels on the roof. We were told they are only open in summer. We couldn’t even access the roof where they were located to look at the view. The price was cheap and the room was very nice. It is well off the beaten path. Because of the location and staff, probably wouldn’t recommend it.

This is a beautiful property! Great pool and lots of outside sitting areas with great views. The staff try very hard to make your stay great. The free breakfast has a decent selection. The restaurant has a limited menu but the food is very good. The drinks at the bar are reasonably priced. The area is very run down, as is most of this part of Italy. We walked a lot up and down the streets and never once felt unsafe. Public transportation is only hourly and a 15 minute walk from the hotel so I would only stay here if you are driving.

Excellent Hotel - Outside of Napels
The hotel was in a beautiful setting just under Mount Vesuvius with wonderful views over the coast. The rooms were very clean and well presented and ours had a hot tub in which was brilliant! The facilities were also all kept very clean and tidy. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and made sure our stay was very enjoyable! A very memorable first wedding anniversary! Thank you very much!

Lovely little hotel, would recommend!
Beautiful hotel, really clean and comfortable. We stayed for the night after visiting Herculaneum. The staff were friendly and dinner was great. We only had time for a quick dip in the pool at the end of our day but could have easily spent the day by the pool.

Andris Hotel is lovely. The staff couldn't be more helpful, a quiet oasis. You do need a car or taxi for the location as nowhere to walk to in the evening. The surrounding area is a bit scruffy but the hotel itself is lovely.

The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly. There were great views of Naples Bay and Mt Vesuvius. The hotel is ideal to visit Herculaneum. Unfortunately, there were many issues which will prevent us from returning. The family room's had a view of the volcano, not the bay which was disappointing. There was no kettle or tea and coffee facilities provided when we arrived in the room. There were only two glasses provided for a room of four. The shower was leaking. The safe had no key and when it was provided it didn't work until hours later. The included breakfast was very disappointing and not at all like what was described in the pictures. As well as the breakfast buffet there was a breakfast menu which had 6 items included in the room price, two of which were unavailable. Some of the items in the breakfast buffet were overcooked or borderline stale. The hotel is located up the side of the volcano and there isn't any reliable public transport. The local area is dead and run down. There are a few cafe's and small restaurants right at the bottom but they were not quality establishments. There was no useful information provided by the hotel such as bus services, local pharmacy's, recommended restaurants. On our day of arrival, the hotel restaurant choice was a choice of two set three-course meals, with both starter and main course being seafood. The hotel restaurant was a joke really. There was no food room service.

Tourist Experience
Long weekend to see the sights in particular the Herculaneum and Pompeii sights as well as visit the Crate of Vesuvius. Hotel very well located for all three attractions with easy access up the Mountain and back into town. Would recommend a hire car for anyone visiting as transport not the best for access and times.

Very handy for Herculaneum
We recently stayed at the Andris Hotel in Ercolano for two nights with our friends, so that we could visit Herculaneum. We had two back rooms with balconies and on our first night we enjoyed our Gin & Tonics here before heading down to the restaurant for dinner. The sunset on Mt Vesuvius was impressive. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant both nights and the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The hotel pool looked very enticing but the water was a bit cool this time of year!! The upper deck provided a great spot to take more photos of the sunset over the Bay of Naples. The hotel manager could not have done more to help us and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. They called a taxi to take us down to Herculaneum and were the go between to have the taxi pick us up to go back to the hotel when we were ready. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. I should imagine the rooms with a view over the Bay would be even better. They had great car parking across the road from the hotel and it was free.

Not what it looks like on the photos
The photos make the hotel look better then it actually is, we chose the hotel for the location as it was within easy reach to Pompeii, Naples and sorrento however the hotel has nothing around it, no restaurants etc hardly anyone spoke English and the menu for the restaurant wasn't in English so it was a guessing game when ordering food. The views over the bay can't be seen by the hotel only from the wedding area which we weren't allowed into due to a wedding taking place. The rooftop we also weren't allowed into as it was 30 euros each per day and no children were allowed. The pool was an additional 15 euros each however as we have children he said if we stayed at the pool for no longer then 3 hours then we could have it for free, swimming hats are required at an additional cost too. Our hotel room was very dated and we had a balcony but the view was rubbish. In the evening there were so many flys covering the floor, doors and windows it was awful. We wouldn't stay here again, or recommend this hotel. Upon checkout we were also overcharged for our stay. A hotel which is out for your money and tricks with the photos. Never again.

A Lovely hotel with absolutely excellent facilities. A bit far from the main town center of Ercolano but this isn't a problem if you are a driver as the walk too and from town is a bit tedious. The Hotel its self though is a fantastic display of what Italy has to offer! Fully recommend the rooftop solarium!!!

A great way to end a holiday
We stopped at Andris Hotel on our way to the airport after having spent our holiday in Naples and at the Amalfi Coast. Our plan was to spend a night somewhere fairly close to the airport in order to make our departure as stress free as possible. Andris caught our attention because it was only a 20-min drive from the airport and also had a hotel pool. At arrival we were welcomed by a friendly receptionist and were delighted to find out that we could check in 2,5 hours before our check in time. She also gave us an upgrade on our room and gave us a card stating that we were allowed to use the pool without paying for it. (It turned out the pool costs 15 Euro per person per day and guests are required to wear swim caps to be able to swim, both we were not aware of before). Our room was great, the bathroom was big and the breakfast buffet was nice. However, we do not eat animal products so there was not much available for us, which we thought might happen and we therefore brought our own, and this did not seem to be a problem. It became more of a problem when choosing dinner from the menu that did not include any meals without animal products and some of the stuff seemed to be somewhat inflexible about changing dishes at first. This might also be down to language barrier and them trying to tell us that it might compromise taste when prepared differently. However, we assured that we would be fine with that and were served two very pleasing pasta dishes.

Nice hotel but needs to improve customer service.
Unfortunately with the exception of the gentleman who checked us in we found the staff somewhat indifferent. Whilst the hotel was clean and nicely layed out it was far from any facilities in the area. We ate at the hotel and found the service slow and fairly disappointing. However we loved the general area and visited Pompeii and Herculaneum also climbing Vesuvius. If the menu and the staff were to raise their game then this critique would have been much different.

Amazing view, a little remote.
No complaints about the hotel itself. In particular, the view out over the bay of Naples is breathtaking. But that amazing view comes from being half way up Vesuvius. Taxis are fairly expensive (15-20 EUR to get between the station and the hotel) and are not readily available in the evening. If you have your own transport it's not an issue. On the other hand, if you are staying there and fancy a trip up to the crater, you might as well take a bottle of water and go on foot rather than go down to Ercolano only to pay for a bus back up the hill. Good if you like scenery or geology.

Staff are great but hotel needs an update!
Second visit here as first was really good. In a year and a half not much has changed, meaning nothing has been improved or updated so it's getting a little old and tatty. This can add to the charm of the hotel but not when the hairdryer is burnt and the shower is mouldy. The room was clean but there were wine or food marks out in the corridor that were not there when we arrived but then remained during our 2 night stay further highlighting the lax attitude exercised here. The buffet is awful. It's very basic which is ok but the stale leftover cake slices that are served are a bit of an insult. I'd love to stay again because I like the location. At the base of Mt. Vesuvius you're away from the city and have great views of the sea.

Warning! Hotel website very misleading!
Facilities listed on this hotel's site are very misleading, for instance the picture of 3 jacuzzis for guest use, they do not exist, there are no communal jacuzzis. It should also be noted that the room safes are very small, you can't fit a tablet or small notebook in them. These safes don't work on a code but a key instead, a master key is also in existence for all safes. There are also no tea facility in the rooms (also promised on booking sites) and you will be asked to upgrade to a junior suite to get a kettle! There are also no locks on the room windows and you are expected to make do with four hangers. When I asked for more hangers and if there were any rooms with locking windows, the receptionist told me my windows were fine and then stated she didn't speak english. For the rest of my week's stay the receptionists then refused to speak english to me, so no booking taxis, no organising excursions and no checking charges to your room, can you imagine taking money from a customer and then refusing to give them any information!!!!! This refusal to speak english also led to food being delivered to my room and the waiter barging into my room rather than waiting to be asked to come in, very bizarre behaviour. The food was delivered to rooms as the dining hall/cafe was too cold to eat in. This hotel has no public transport links and is on a very steep hill so be warned that if you are ill or infirm you will need a car to get to and from the hotel.

Room with a view (but not a pool) on Vesuvius
This is a cute, stylish little hotel up in a remote neighborhood on Vesuvius, with lovely views of the bay below. The food was delicious. There were two catches. One, being August, their driver was on vacation, and so initially getting rides to the local sites was challenging. Fortunately, the staff eventually understood the problem for us and helped us arrange taxis. Two, using the pool costs extra, 20 Euros per person, per day. Also, it closes at 6:30pm. Together, these made it impractical for use after a hot day of touring, which was a real disappointment for the kids.

Andris is great a hotel. Its main clientele is locals and weddings. They don't usually deal with a bustling tourist crowd. It's nicer staying here than in Naples but the trade off is its more work to get places. It's got a great view of the Bay of Naples and you can see the top of Vesuvius. The price was a good deal when I booked.

Nice villa, out of way (few/no close amenities)
Andris Hotel was so nice we lengthened our stay, even though we had a non-refundable booking elsewhere. The room was spacious and lovely, pool was terrific - though it sure would be nice to have it open in the evening, when the day is still more than hot enough and guests are back from their sightseeing. Location is quite isolated from any useful amenities - nothing is walkable. Cafe is very nice but not available for dinner... the adjacent restaurant is beautiful, terrific view and decent food, but was not always open. In those cases, the hotel arranged a free shuttle to excellent restaurants in town, so this was great.

Good Value, Expect to take taxis
The hotel itself is nice, and they do a remarkable job of upkeep and maintenance on the pool which is very nice. The rooms are nice, the food so-so and, although it provides a nice view, the location on top of the hill is rather inconvenient if you are not driving. There's really nothing in the surrounding area. Herculaneum is at the bottom of the hill, as is the train station, but it's too far to walk.

A friendly place to stay
A very clean and acceptable hotel with really pleasant and friendly staff. Ideally situated for Herculaneum Archaeological site. The only problem is getting to it. The journey through Ercolano Centro to the hotel can be a little stressful for those driving and used to UK roads and traffic and Ercolano itself is a bit run down as a town. But when you get to the hotel the venue itself is first class. What you need to be aware of is that the hotel is connected to a wedding venue which can make getting an evening meal a bit difficult. The first night we were able to eat in the restaurant but after that the weddings meant that food needed to be delivered to the cafe where breakfast was served. They did this very well but inevitably the food was not as hot as it would have been eating at the restaurant area itself and it all lacked the ambience you might want. But overall a good place to stay in this area.

Surprising gam in quiet location
We stayed there one night. Our room was very spacious, well decorated and clean. The shower was also very big. The hotel grounds are very beautiful and colorful. From the pool area and the restaurant you can have a nice view of Naples. This hotel can be used as a base for trips to Mount Vesuvius and the surrounding. Naples is a short drive away and we preferred to choose a quiet hotel and much chipper that you get in the city. It's advisable to arrive by car because we guess it's difficult to get there by public transportation (Andris hotel offers free parking). One downside - Wi-Fi wasn't available in our room so we had to go to the common areas (restaurant and lobby) in order to use it. The bottom line - Great value for your money.

Not Impressed
We stayed seven different places throughout Italy and this had the least value...and it's in Naples of all places! In terms of being in Naples, it's pretty far removed from the Airport. Our two search priorities were that it be close to the airport and have airport shuttle. We had to negotiate with taxi companies and couldn't get a trip to the airport for less than 50 euro. It cost us 55 euro from the central train station to get there. The pool was nice...except for the dumpy building that blocks what would be a nice skyline view of Naples. The room was clean and spacious by Italy standards. The bed was pretty stiff though.

We chose this hotel for 2 nights as it was near Mt Vesuvius and quite close to Heculaneum/Pompei. The hotel was very pleasant if a little isolated. The breakfast although not included was great value at 5 Euros. There were better options for the evening meal but a car is essential. The Reception Staff were most helpful to us in sorting out a replacement tyre after we had a puncture on the hire car. The only disappointment was that the good looking swimming pool was closed for safety reasons because of thundery showers.

Superb value for money
Amazing value for money. Spacious room, big modern bathroom. Having read lots of reviews, I was expecting an amazing view of the volcano, but there was no view at all. The pool looked lovely, if you don't mind sunbathing in front of the cafe. The hotel is very difficult to find and the signs are confusing. I was also expecting a pizzeria next door as mentioned on some reviews, however there are no restaurants nearby. So we had to eat in the hotel next door which was awful. But as a stopover en route from the airport it was fine and very good value.
