Our room was nice (recently upgraded), however, the view was unpleasant. It overlooked the roof of the 2nd floor gym and had quite a bit of rubbish. I don't recall receiving awareness, but it would have been nice to know about the ongoing daily noise from the construction within the building. In spite of all of this, the food & staff at the restaurant was incredible 10/10! And the care and assistance provided by Jane (front desk) was above & beyond. She came up to assist us with our tv, spoke about the improvements to the hotel, gave us recommendations to visit while in the Comox Valley and is the reason we will definitely return to this hotel. She demonstrated empathy and patience while we spoke about our terrible view and went out of her way to improve our time at the hotel. Her passion for the hotel, the city and the visitors is unmatched. My husband and I travel extensively both for personal & business purposes and don't find many people like Jane. She is a gem. Thank you, Jane.

I first want to thank you for celebrating Jane, she is defiantly a star. The construction is now down to the final floor and I am sorry about the noise you encountered. We are rushing to get it wrapped up as soon as possible.

We loved our stay. The staff were very friendly, professional and accommodating. Bed was too soft for my wife yet perfect for myself. The only thing that frightened my wife was the walk to the parking because of the continuous transient activity in the area.

We arrived just before 11 and the door was locked and the front desk clerk could clearly see we were trying to get in but ignored us until we rang the bell then I asked him why the door is locked and he said for his safety so it didn’t really give me the greatest feeling since I was there with my young son but I didn’t feel unsafe in the least. But it just struck me as odd. Otherwise this was an ok location

Like most downtown hotels in Nanaimo, we restrict access to the building for people with key card access. We do this more to lessen the traffic to the washrooms for non-hotels guests late night.

Everything was fantastic, except the bathroom door head looks like finger print lipstick marks on it, the back of one of the beds the paint was peeling apart looked kind of gross, other than that it was an absolutely fantastic day and we had a good time thank you

Great hotel right on water
Stayed for one night on vacation. Close to old town tourist attractions and walking the warf. Front desk let us check in early at 1 pm with no additional charge. Views of ocean and harbour wonderful. Bed comfortable. Would recommend
