Such a well appointed home in a very charming part of Nacogdoches. I would definitely stay here again as you can tell the owners to put a lot of personal touches in this property from classy art, to lavish furnishings.

The drive up was a little concerning because the house looked rundown on the outside, and it seemed like the landscaping wasn’t tended to, but the inside and the decor more than made up for it. It was gorgeous. Loved all the paintings and the furniture. So fun just to walk around and look at everything.

Gorgeous home!
What a unique property for our quick weekend to Nacogdoches! The furnishings and artwork and remodel to this home are stunning. Surprises around every corner. Only three bedrooms are rented out, with the rest of the house shared. But the rooms are quite separated from each other, and there is a ridiculous amount of seating and relaxation areas in this house. If you wanted to cook, the kitchen and prep area are available to all. Bed was comfy and bathroom was clean and spacious. Just lovely. We will definitely stay here again if we can!

Drop dead gorgeous home. Can’t wait to stay here again. The maximalist design keeps the eye entertained and the furnishings are extremely comfortable.

Great place and location.
Our stay was great. We came down for our son's last track meet and move out from SFA. Very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen. The host was great and was very responsive to our needs.

The house is just stunning!!!! We absolutely loved the TreeHouse stay! It was a perfect amount of space to sit back and enjoy some tv and the bed is quite comfy as well. That’s always a plus for us! This was an old house that had was shared with 2 private and locked bedroom suites. The remainder of the house was shared common space. The kitchen was modern and equipped with all the items you would need to cook any meal. The house was eclecticly decorated in all the sitting areas with art and knick knacks in all the rooms. The owner meet us when we arrived and explained the locks for the public and private areas.

This place is REALLY nice inside. The outside needs some work. But, fix up the inside, let it pay for the outside. Seems intelligent to me. WE will stay again.

La Penson is a wonderful new lodging option in Nacogdoches. Similar to a Bed and Breakfast without the awkward scheduled meal with strangers you only see in the morning. The rooms are big and well appointed. The rooms are also in different parts of the home, so you’re not right next door to others. Everything throughout was spotless. The exterior of the house is a little rough and needs updating, but I believe it will be. I was told they were having siding made. The interior of home is beautifully decorated and presents almost like a museum. The owner/manager has a talent for design, and it was fun looking at all the artwork and furniture throughout. But is also very functional as a space. There was a refrigerator in the kitchen where we could keep snacks and drinks, and an ice maker in the bar. My wife likes to walk neighborhoods when we travel and this neighborhood features quiet streets and historic Craftsman, Victorian and other style homes to see in the oldest town in Texas. We were in town visiting our son who is a student at SFASU, and my only regret is that La Penson wasn’t available four years ago. He graduates in May, and we will not be back there much, I guess. We may have to ‘visit him’ when he’s not there just to have an excuse to stay here again. Great for SFA parents visiting, a romantic getaway, couple’s trips (3-4 couples), or girls’ trips.
