Warm and welcoming
Our cottage was 2 bedroom. Very spacious and well equipped kitchen utensils and laundry facilities. We would have loved to spend an extra night but had to head home but we will be back for sure. The area also is magnificent.

Fabulous cabin, great location, friendly host
First the little things that could be improved: There was poor light when driving in at night, it needs a strong sensor light out the front and side. We couldn't see a number on the cabin so we weren't sure we were at the right one. Inside the cabin there was no information pack explaining things, the first time I haven't seen that. There are many positives, it's a great location, we arrived late and had to leave in the morning so didn't get the chance to explore, but if we're back this way again we'd definitely stay here again. I'd had a few hard beds on this trip but the bed was fabulous and comfortable in a great bed frame. Loved the bedside tables and lamps, plenty of room. We loved the timber look of the cottage and the Darcy Doyle prints. With mobility issues I appreciated the ramp instead of steps. The bathroom was great, and it was awesome to have a laundry to do some washing, and a dryer. We asked Dorothy if we could have some friends over for dinner and she said yes and we had a lovely time of fellowship with them. Dorothy was great with communication and very friendly. I totally recommend this property and Dorothy.

Cottages not on the lakeside
Follow up on reservation through VrBo a bit difficult but hosts responsive to text messages. Fairly old self contained units that are located in the owners back yard - compact design but functional. No oven, just stove top and microwave. Located in the back streets of Metung, close enough to walk to the beach road, bit of a longer walk into the centre of town. Hosts friendly and accomodating, OK to bring our dog which was great.

We are original Holiday Cottages 1 street up from Beach rd, a 2min walk to the Lake, 10 min walk to the swimming Beach and Metung Village, Pub, 3 great Coffee Shops, Gen. store, Post Shop, Pharmacy, Bakery. Convection Oven in the kitchen cupboard.

The Maeburn Cottages in Metung are close to the water,town,cafes & the Metung Hotel. The cottages are very comfortable,clean & spacious .The host Dorothy is very welcoming & hospitable. We loved our stay & we will definitely be back. Thoroughly recommend. Jan K

Good location and quiet
The unit was roomy and basic. We felt it was tired and needed updating particularly for the asking price. There was a 10-15mm gap in the bedroom floor which exposed the underfloor. We had to seal it as we had the unpleasant experience of a red-belly black snake entering our motel unit 5 days earlier. The a/c struggled to cool the residence when the temperature was over 30 degrees. Host were very friendly and accomodating.

Everything was just wonderful. Communication was excellent and check in was so easy. Our hosts were just so friendly and welcoming. The cottage had everything we needed and was very comfortable. The dogs just loved exploring the yard and we felt reassured with how secure it is. Close to town and the water. We are planning to come back with friends. Thank you for our perfect little cottage.

Very nice, clean cottage. Short walk to the water. 15 minute walk to town center or a 5 minute drive. Only negative is no WiFi. The town supposedly has free WiFi but we could not find any.

Quiet Sanctuary
We have stayed at Dorothy and Alwyn’s accommodation a number of times and have always found it a wonderful relaxing break on our road trips. Everything that we needed, clean, spacious and comfortable and pet friendly.

These cottages are a little tired
The property was ok with a well kept garden and the cottages were clean but very old and a bit tired. Unfortunately there were 2 leaks in our roof (admittedly it was extremely heavy rain) and we found the cottage a bit cold. The owners were very friendly. I would suggest some updating and maintenance is required

Clean, comfortable, roomy, lovely and kind host
We arrived very late in the evening of 7th May after heavy snow had delayed our journey from Bright over the mountains and we kept texting our host as our ETA became later and later to which they kept reassuring us is was not a problem and finally after a torturous and exhausting trip, provided sustenance for a late dinner upon our arrival at 9pm, assuming we had not had dinner, which was the case-so kind and considerate!
