"This is the 3rd time I’ve stayed at the Hobson. The rooms are a little outdated but everything you need is there. The area around the pool is nice. There is laundry on site which was convenient for me. It’s close enough to the shops that you can easily walk downtown. The staff are excellent; friendly & helpful. "

"Typical 1800's Country Town Pub. Showing wear and tear, but it was a quaint experience. The dining room is the best part of the hotel. Friendly local people. We had a quiet night and slept well in our room. The water is nice and hot, plus ability to boil a jug in the kitchenette."

"A charming house on a very spacious plot of land. Plenty of room for activities and very private. A lovely spa and outdoor fire pit perfect for the cool evenings. Top that off with a spectacular beach just over the dunes less than a 10 min walk away. Also close to waipu town centre and mcleods brewery. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again if in the area."

"You instantly relax when you arrive here. The view, the harbour, the quiet and the serenity are perfect for a getaway. Helene was responsive with all our requests, including being able to bring our two small dogs on holiday with us. This holiday home has everything you need, seems larger than what the photos display and was spotlessly clean. We had a family celebration to attend in Pahi on Saturday evening, so explored the wider area from Friday when we arrived. You can walk down the hill...

"Nice area, lots to see. We toured around the north island and visited lots of historic and current events and entertainment. Our hosts were available when we needed help and not in our face when we did not. It was a wonderful time and I recommend the place for a nice stay."
