For the price we paid the place needs an overhaul. Paint job fresh up the place. Upgrade bathroom’s. put real windows on not louvers to help with noisy traffic. The pool does not look very inviting everything in the rooms are old and outdated.

It is well loved property and the staff look after it. The staff are very approachable and made the stay great. Parking and secure. Close to town. Not noisy even tho it’s just off the highway.

They cancelled my booking without informing me. I got to the Mitel after driving 51/2 hours to be calmly told they had cancelled my booking and I would get a refund. I went to another motel and found that they had not cancelled my booking and I had no refund! Thieves and cheats!

Didnt even stay here hotel cancelled due to no after hours bookin & we was in transit i havent been refunded for this althoughr i spent 13hrs on phone trying tofix this svrew up on Your behalf.

Hi Lyndall Robson the hotel cancelled this booking as we dont do after hours check ins which is clearly stated on the booking site and for your information we received no payment at all as we waived all fees and charges so maybe you need to check you information again before defaming a business . happy new year to you and your family

We were less than 10 minutes late for checkin due to road works and they cancelled our booking with NO REFUND and NO offer of changing to another night. The receptionist was rude.

Narelle Morell Thank you for the multiple reviews anonymously posted and giving me the opportunity to respond. Your booking information listed your address as 10 mins away you were notified when booking then in 2 emails 1 sms and 1 telephone conversation that reception check-in times are 2pm to 8pm The last communication with you was at 8.10pm where you said you were still 20 mins away. I explained that reception is now closed and you should seek a refund from the booking agency that you booked with and we would waiver all fees. You neglected to do so at your own peril. Please for future bookings with accommodation providers make a fulling informed decision when dealing with international on line booking agencies be very wary. Have a nice day

I stayed a single night and felt everything was broken or had an issue, except the air con. Tv remote broken in half and batteries crushed. Shower head holes calcified over so badly all water defied gravity. Only one light worked and it constantly flickered. Next time I'll definitely try another place.

Thank you anonymous for your review. You could of bought this attention directly to management to rectify immediately but instead decided to make a public display. We need to be made aware of said apparent issues while guests are here and for the benefits of future guests

Property was clean but older and needs a little tlc. The property is "pet friendly", but it was more like pets can be in the room. They can't be left in the room if you need to go out and to take them to the bathroom you have to walk out to the street front. It is great to have a place to stay when travelling with a pet but I think things could be improved.

Im completely perplexed that you seem to think its ok to leave an animal unattended in a room as well as that an animals bathroom break you are required to walk your animal to grassed areas???? both of these procedures are displayed for your information in your room for the safety of guests and the motel. sometimes peoples expectations are out weighted by reality. have a nice day

There was no welcome but hanging face, almost saying manager didn't want me to stay there. I hope not to see same manager again. However room was good for an overnight sleep.

Ok, but dated
Not much to say really. Only stayed as overnight stop-over, and ok for that. Don't know if it would be my choice for longer stays, but price was good, has a pool and restaurant (closed at present) and plenty of off street parking. Has a somewhat "stuck in the 70s" vibe, but then, so does Maryborough in general.

It’s close to amenities. Check in was swift, free jar of milk. Pretty busy when I was there over holidays but clean enough. Furniture in reasonable condition. Vending machine in common area available for snacks which I didn’t use. Microwave and fridge very useful. Has small freezer compartment. Easy checkout. Parking onsite. Despite being busy always had one.

The 60's motoring public
This is a typical 50's 60's motel; where your car is directly in front of the room. It was fun to remember and even better to have a microwave and flat TV. Little table and chairs both inside and outside and No Smoking (except well away).

We were very happy with the stay at Arkana Motel. We booked a budget motel and as far as budget motels go it was excellent. Bathroom was small but we overlooked this the management were wonderful and accomodating. Great weekend accomodation for our needs.
