"We enjoyed our stay at the “Cabbage” for an extended weekend. The lake themed decor along with the functionality of items needed when staying away is great! It is so quiet and calm. We walked to the area where you can put kayaks into the lake. There were geese, ducks, and squirrels which made our dog happy. The General Store in the town of Lake is a must! "My husband and I spent my 60th birthday here. It was perfect! The cottage is exactly as described and pictured. The owners were very quick to respond with any questions we had. It was a very comfortable place to stay and enjoy the beautiful Houghton Lake. We rented a pontoon boat for a day and had an absolute blast! We will definitely be coming back!"

The cabin was wonderful, peaceful and relaxing. We did a winter rafting tour of the Pine through Pine River Paddlesports. Highly recommend! We take our pup everywhere with us and are grateful that Hawk’s Nest Kabin is dog friendly. We will definitely book again!"

"Our group really enjoyed our stay in the very secluded and peaceful cabin on the river. We were welcomed with a personalized greeting card and goods to make smores. Plenty of room for our group of 8 and nice mounted tv to watch golf after playing a round or two. Very easy and responsive communication with the owners prior to arriving made for a great experience."
