Way better than expected
This was just a cheap stopover for us but it was exceeded expectations. There is free parking outside (street parking on a long road but we found some easy) which is a hige bonus and only 10-15 mins to the old town by foot. Room is big and beds are comfortable. There is no kettle in the room (not an issue for us but incase you expect one) but there seemed to be some kitchen area for snacks witha a vending machine below. Happy and wil be back as convenient as a stop over for us.

Great hotel
Fantastic hotel with great service, however it was too far from the town centre. Rooms were nice and good size. Staff were very helpful and would definitely stay in this hotel again.

Awesome stay at Hotel Select
Stay at Hotel Select was amazing. This hotel is quite clean and well maintained. Check-in was smooth and the room is also quite spacious. Only thing that I found a bit problematic was that there are many bus stops nearby and that makes it confusing to find out the actual bus stop to take for your trips.

Good Hotel for Business Trips
The Hotel is set in a quiet corner next to a huge Shopping Center, McDonalds and Burger King. The Carpark is a bit on the small side and if you arrive late, it may be full and you have to find a different spot to leave your car. Check-in was quick and friendly. The room was well sized, big bed very comfortable, desk, fridge and bathroom with shower. All very clean and well looked after. Good Hotel for business trips. Just a few Minutes to the Motorway slip road.

A pleasant and comfortable modern hotel
A pleasant and comfortable modern hotel, with a newish shopping centre nearby, so fans of McDonald's, Burger King and KFC will be happy. I did not try the breakfast buffet as I considered the price to be on the high side. On the other hand I had a dinner in its restaurant, which was fine and delivered with a friendly service. On the not-so-great side is its distance from Mainz town centre and main railway station. The bus stop is not so far way but buses only run two or three times and hour, depending on time of day. Oddly, the lower frequency is during what some people might consider the morning and evening rush hours. There is a tram stop further away in another direction. If that does not matter then the hotel is a perfectly good choice. Unfortunately I had to pay a ridiculously high price because I booked only a fairly short time before a major international exhibition being held in Frankfurt.

Great comfortable hotel
Great stay at this hotel, tassimo machine which was better than a kettle and instant coffee. Comfy bed and bedding. Lovely staff. Close to where I visited my family. The one and only criticism is that the bar and restaurant didn't seem to be open as advertised in the literature? One night was a private party and the other it was totally closed with all lights off. It would've been nice to sit and read in the bar area as too early to go to room when I got in from visiting relatives. However I bought a bottled drink from the reception and read for a while in the comfy chairs available there. Would definitely stay there again!

We had stayed at Select Hotel before, had a very good impression, however this time the fridge didn't work, left the bag at the reception, was a huge inconvenience, also my emental gone from that bag!! I am not saying somebody has taken it, though it did disappear. The Coffee machine was intermittent, only had 3 cups between 2 of us in 4 days! Reported it, but didn't really solved the problem, the machine was still intermittent! It was quite hot, the air conditioner was on, but wasn't making any difference... So, no wasn't good due the above problems.

Select Hotel.
The hotel is a little way out of Mainz but convenient for my needs. Clean and comfortable but my room, opposite the lift and linen storage room was a little noisy early morning. The staff were extremely pleasant and always helpful. The food was very good although the menu is quite limited. There is a large retail park with a range of food outlets directly opposite the hotel.

fine hotel, but poor location/connection
The hotel is fine for a quick stay. Staff was friendly, and the room was clean and reasonably comfortable. The main issue is the location- not close to anything, and infrequent public transportation makes it difficult to get anywhere.

Came for the Christmas Markets! Amazing!
Select Hotel was very very nice! We would definitely go there again. Comfy bed, great breakfast, close to the Christmas Markets :)

There for business - would usually stay more central but hotels were very busy due to Christmas market. Very welcoming, great Christmas decorations - quite trendy. Room fine. But i thought very expensive ~ £175 for nothing spectacular. And annoyingly the only English TV channel was CNN. for that much i expect full Sky offering. Breakfast also expensive - and ok but not fabulous. I would stay again but try and get cheaper rate.

Often the reception was unmanned and this was a little irritating when there was a need to be somewhere on time. The reception desk requires a bell for obvious reasons.

Bait and Switch Internet - Not Usable
This is a very clean hotel in a shopping center next to a McDonalds that seems to have a business strategy of increasing profit by charging extra for everything. We got a great deal on a room with Expedia but then discovered the "free" Internet is so totally slow it is unusable. Can't even load the Expedia home page in less than a minute and trying to look up bookings for the trip ahead is impossibly slow. It is the second worst Internet I've experienced in dozens of hotels, with only a truly horrible Internet in Eastern Poland being worse. What is annoying is that the "free" Internet is next to ads for their paid Internet service. So, please remove the "free Internet" from any description you read about this hotel. They also charge over 7 euros a night for parking in what is an unsecured parking lot, and 15 euros for breakfast. On the plus side, it is genuinely very clean with a very comfortable bed and pillows.

We had booked 4 nights at this hotel so you would think they would want to ensure our stay was good. When we got there just after 12 noon due to our travel plans, we asked if we could check in early. The answer was a firm no, not until 3 pm. So we went walking for two hours, got back and they forced us to wait in the lobby until exactly 3 pm to check in. We watched other people check in, but not us. The next day a family from the USA was also forced to wait in the lobby until exactly 3 pm, with one of the elderly sleeping in a chair due to their long flight. Everywhere else we have stayed in Germany has allowed some flexibility. Not the Select Novum. In addition, wifi access has to be granted daily, so down to the desk we have to go to each get a password. Two days we were told it was down. It is also located quite a ways from the city centre. The buses are good, once you get them figured out The attendant at the desk in the hotel could not tell me how much the bus would cost, but she did give me a bus number. this is an okay hotel for the business traveller who has a vehicle, but don't expect much. The food in the restaurant was really good, but pricey.

Great base for visiting the region
We used this hotel as a base for touring the Rhine and Mosel region. Wifi was difficult to get access to and parking wasn't free. However beds were really comfortable and bathroom clean.
