It was a comfortable stay for two nights in the studio room. But like many Australian motels & hotels, the wi fi signal was weak and slow.

Just a quick trip up for my nieces christening and everything in the room was great, very friendly and accommodating. Amazing beach at the end of the way will definitely stay again next time.

Wonderful stay. The owners were extremely accommodating and very friendly. Rooms were lovely and price was great. Would definitely stay again. Not to mention the beautiful beach at the end of the inn

Quiet and comfortable
We picked this motel as it was close to our family in Mackay area. We were upgraded to a 1 bed apartment. Bed was very comfortable. Kitchen facilities were great. Plenty of cupboard space. Lounge dining area ample. Short walk to beach.

Suited our purpose
We were met by a very helpful guy on reception so that was nice. This is a case of you get what you pay for but not in a bad way. We had a small unit which provided what we needed for two nights. It’s a bit dated but was acceptable for the money we paid.

Access to the beach is very easy. However, the excessive growth of palm trees through the center of the road reduces available space to drive - especially when vehicles use the car parks at reception.

Very friendly helpful service definitely saved this trip. Nice area but a long way from the city, in case that’s what you’re after. The photos depicted a beach front resort however it is more like a beach side complex of townhouses. It feels a bit weird walking through 2 other houses to the beachside park and then a little like you’re in someone else’s backyard, but once you make it to the beach it is quite a nice spot. Check the tide times though as there is no beach at high tide. Room was outdated but clean, however the fridge and aircon were very noisy and kept us awake at night. For the price you couldn’t expect much so definitely value for money. Hope that helps

Good Morning Anonymous. We thank you for your valued review. We do have on our page our location , this ensure that guests that wish to be 15 km from (15 mins drive) are aware of the distance. Your take on the walk through the resort is unique. The two houses at the front are indeed part of Blue Pacific and guests can stay there quite an ideal location at the beachfront. So sorry about the fridge, we do ask on arrival that if there is an issues with the unit to let us know, the same goes on departure. This way we can fix the situation. Yes we do have a couple of hours turn around when it is king high tides that does not allow you down the stairs (the aftermath of cyclone Trevor(low).We look forward to welcoming you both back to Blue Pacific in the future. Quiet, beach location
An older group of apartments/ units but with updated kitchen and bathroom. No view but right on the beach with a large grassed area complete with picnic tables and BBQs. Very quiet spot but close to a good supermarket and other shops. Black's Beach is lovely. Would have been nice to have longer time there.

Perfect little get away
Lovely break backing onto the beach, courtesy bus to the club to the bowls club that served a good meal also allowing us to have a couple drinks. We will be back

Overnight Stay, the Room was spacious, lovely walk to the beach, not far from the Eimeo Hotel, great food. Tropical setting. Only disappointment was the Bed, rock hard. We didn't sleep very well at all.

Expected to be closer to the beach, unit isolated from anything, Possums in the ceiling and wall, making noise all night, to staff credit they moved us to another unit for second night. Second unit much better.

It is a little distance from Mackay city, however this suited our purpose. Quiet, gardens well maintained. Rooms a little dated but clean and at the back of the hotel a lovely beach.

Peaceful relaxing stay
The lady on reception was most friendly and welcoming, as was her husband when we checked out 2 days later. This hotel was down a small lane leading to Blacks Beach with individual units on each side. Ours was a little dated, but had everything we needed for our stay. The place is filled with birdsong at all times of the day and was just so quiet and peaceful with a huge beach at the end of the drive
