"My husband had stayed in this hotel a few months ago and liked it. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. Coffee and tea were available in the lobby when we got there, which was much appreciated. Beside the reception desk was a tiny convenience store with toiletries, snacks, drinks, and several varieties of Blue Bell ice cream in $5 pints. Our room was comfortable and clean, with mini fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The closet had an ironing board and iron. (There was a former guest's bra hiding on the high shelf in the closet, but it wasn't in a place where the cleaning staff would have normally seen it.) There were four pillows on the bed which were soft but thin, which was fine because they could be stacked to make a thicker head support. The bathroom was beautifully updated with a walk-in shower, and well equipped with generous travel-size bottles of shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. One of the towels was frayed, but they were all clean. The hair dryer worked well. Breakfast was ready at 6am and included scrambled eggs, sausage patties, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, and make-your-own waffles. Milk, yogurt, fresh fruit and juices were available, as well as cold cereal and oatmeal packets. There were also several varieties of individually wrapped pastries. There was plenty of seating at tables. We did not use the indoor pool but there were several guests who seemed to be enjoying it. We did use the guest laundry room, and it was fine. "
