    Definitely a pass

    If you traveling down the highway and notice the that this was the only motel for 100 miles. It would still make this a hard decision. I don't mind older places, but this one had issues. Leftover food service, stale smoke, musty mold smell in hallways. If you were sleeping on flyover at LAX, you are OK. Other than that, you are staying at Tom Bodett's neglected left over. Hotel was 2.0 rating an older oversized motor inn

    Neighbourhood recommendations: The area was nice enough slightly industrial, but clean. Several shopping malls nearby and Manhattan Beach to the south. However you are close to LAX.

    It was just Okay

    The motel is older, located on a major street. Even so, I heard no traffic noise from my room on the upper floor. My main dislike of this motel is that I had to walk a block to the parking lot pulling my luggage.

    Okay

    The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Though, the hotel is older so it was musty and sleeping in my room it felt old. The carpet in the main hallway areas were worn and rough and often peeling off the floor. There is one main unit for the entire hotel for the air circulation. Either it is set to cool or heat. While I was there it was windy and a little chilly out and the hotel had the temperature set to cool. While there is a way to turn air flow to the room off, there isnt a way to heat it up. I was offered some extra blankets. The outside common areas are cute though it made it very difficult to enjoy with so many people outside smoking. Overall, I thought the hotel was okay. I give it an "A" for the staff and a "C" for the environment.
