"I came to take a private retreat “away from it all” and was delighted in all ways by my stay. Bob is a cordial and caring host. The cottage was impeccably clean, updated and well stocked with all little touches from coffee to brew, creamers and condiments, soft and comfortable towels, blankets and sheets (I only mention because of their comfort). The place was cozy and well arranged. Nice screened in front porch and chairs and fire pit by the Esopous Creek… a few feet from the cottage. Location...

"While planning a fly fishing trip on the Beaverkill river, we came across this rental property and it fit the bill perfectly for us. Although the weather didn't cooperate as far as the fishing goes (temps were in the mid to upper 80's), the house remained comfortable inside for sleeping at night. House was as advertised and we enjoyed sitting around the fire down by the river. We saw deer, a bald eagle and various other wildlife. "The house was fantastic. Close to Hunter Mountain Ski Resort and a cute one street town. Peter and Lara had both wood burning stoves going for us when we arrived. The house is wonderful with a fun separate hang out place for the kids. Well equipped kitchen. Comfortable beds. Hot tub with wonderful views. All the firewood you could ever need. "We travel to the Catskills at least once a year and stay at various locations. What sets this property apart is the true seclusion and absolutely no distractions from the nature around you. Even though it is close to hubs like Wyndham and Hunter (less than 20 to both) when sitting outside it feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. Inside is clean, cosey by the fire, and lots of fun things to do with our teenagers. Definitely would stay again."

"I enjoyed my much-needed spa weekend! I loved how serene it was, peace and quiet. Enjoyed the fresh air on my hike, a nice massage, the hot sauna, the steam room, gym, and our big room and lovely view of the lake and trees. Staff was very friendly, kind, and helpful. Great breakfast every morning, I literally ate the same thing every day, great staff and nice seating indoor & outdoor. Down side: pool closed the entire time, geese poop everywhere outside on the grounds, a leak from the a.c. unit outside the elevator on our floor (3rd floor), a leak under bathroom sink in my room and an air vent in bathroom hasn't been dusted in years. Other than that, I'm going every year for a relaxing weekend! Literally you can walk around in a robe and slippers! "
