A week in Mount Isa
I booked my tech here for a week. He wasn't particularly impressed but most of these places are for men working in the mines. It was adequate but he did say the breakfast was cold.
The photos are deceiving. The bedsheets in the room were dirty and full of dog hair. The airconditioner was rattling on the wall like a freight train, and the entrance door on the cabin didn't close properly.
This property was very clean, friendly and great value for money. I felt very welcome with my dogs, too! The bed itself was a little small, being only a double.
Fantastic!
The cabin may have been small, but it was clean, the bed was comfortable and the aircon was excellent. No one bothered me and it was awesome.

Van in park
Set up for single accommodation small but comfortable god for the cost
With a bicycle, easy to get from here to anywhere else. Meal setup is favourable if you want to be out all day, but breakfast could go till nine instead of eight.
We booked a Queen van room and were put in a demountable, it had no tea and coffee facilities, no hot water, the door would not lock, there were dirty razors in the bathroom, the bin had not been emptied.
Not so good for relaxing, no seating and Tele had to be placed on kitchen bench so it could be seen whilst sitting on bed, very unsafe. No screen door, insects & flys constantly inside. No one at reception on checkin or when needed info. No signage outside so very easy to drive straight past complex. Oven plates very slow to cook on took over 1/2 to cook sausages and eggs. No ironing board or large broom so could not sweep before we left. Air con not the best. Was ideal for our dogs and only 8km to city centre. Suited us for 3 days but could have been tad better.
Spending the night in the single van room after a long drive was perfect! Couldn't fault the room and great value for money! Perfect for one person who just wants a good nights sleep in a comfy bed at a reasonable cost. The room had had all the comforts you need- bed, aircon, tv, fridge and ensuite. And my favourite part was how clean it was! Would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

OK For Overnight Stop
Clean van. OK size for max 2 people. Nice refreshing pool. Didn't see any staff and didn't eat there so can't comment. Surroundings are a bit dire. In need of a good clean up. Old disused equipment lying around and manky outdoor kitchen. Small things would make a great improvement to the stay.
Very clean, wonderful staff but didn't match the room I booked. Self contained kitchenette - a kettle! It was a workers van split in two. Was ok for 2 nights but couldn't have stayed longer.
Booked a single van online, turned up and was a little bigger then a coffin with no windows. The photo I saw of the "room" when booking through wotif was not accurate. If I knew how big it was, I would have never booked it. The park mnager didn't seem too keen to try to get me a refund however when I called up wotif they happily refunded me. Thank you to wotif for the refund however if they put up representative photos of the accommodation it would avoid the confusions, no thanks to management
We got to the park at 15:00 and the temperature was 41c and the aircon in the room did not work. It took time but we were moved into a "King van" and it was a 1/3 the size of the room we booked and they gave us 2 x meal vouchers. The room was so dusty everything you touched covered yo in dust. The restaurant is not a restaurant it is a mess hall as the place is more of a workers camp then a tourist park. The meal was good. We will never go back to this park.

Hello Peggy. Sorry to hear of your experience. And although the park has been set up for "workers accommodation we still provide nice facilities for tourists.
The management has changed since your stay, and improvements have been made, including the housekeeping standard.
Yes the 'restaurant' is a mess hall, however this does not detract from the food quality, as you've pointed out. I've had better meals here than in some restaurants.
If you change your mind about staying with us, you'll notice the difference.
