The hotel has an absolutely beautiful view from the beach and the lake view rooms. We were able to watch eagles swooping and watch the sun rise over the lake. The rooms are super clean and well appointed, great showers, and firm comfy beds. Definitely a chill environment with nice staff. Absolutely love that it’s dog friendly because not many places in the area area. This is going to be one of my new go-tos.

We were in New York to observe the eclipse of April 2024. We found the room very clean, quiet, and well appointed for our needs. The staff was congenial, answering questions and offering suggestions. We would definitely stay here again, and recommend it to our friends.

Very clean and cozy! Great winter getaway!
Our room at the end of the motel overlooked the lake. It was wonderful waking up and looking out the huge picture window from our cozy bed. The motel has been busy updating and its a mixture of old and new, and everything is clean and functional. Our room had a comfy couch, a dining table, and kitchenette. Keurig with K-cups was provided. We had contactless check-in with a door code so never got to speak to the owners.

They had a small issue with our room caught it before our check-in and called us. They upgraded us to a different room to accommodate our needs. I would recommend.

Impressively clean and updated! The rain head shower was exceptional with great pressure.

Great stay, beautiful views of Lake Luzerne
Had a great stay at Motel Luzerne. Very friendly host who took the time to show us the different features in our room. Very comfortable beds and beautiful views of Lake Luzerne! Close to Lake George for day trips. Will definitely stay here again!

Thank you Pam for being accommodating!! My original reservation was supposed to be Friday-Sunday but when I looked at the weather and saw heavy rain Friday and Saturday, I called Motel Luzerne and Pam was able to switch my dates to Saturday-Monday. I had a wonderful hike on Sunday at Buck Mountain. I liked that the motel was 15 minutes from Lake George, it was too busy at lake George to stay but was very nice that it was so close. I enjoyed walking through the park, the beach, and the mill. I def will come back in the summer because there's a private beach for motel guests.

Love this property. Stayed twice in 2 weeks and can’t wait to stay again. Admittedly the exterior needs some love. But the rooms are so clean and comfortable. The rates are good and Pam and Michael were there to answer any questions. They were very nice and attentive! The lake access is amazing. Enjoyed a nice glass of wine on one of the lakefront decks as the moon rose over the mountains in the distance and a nice cup of tea in the morning as the mist lifted from the lake. Highly recommend for a nice chill getaway

Quiet cozy stay, staff member Pam was very attentive and even upgraded us to the cottage for our dog so we could have plenty of room and privacy. Perfect distance to lake George. Will definitely stay again. Enjoyed our time spent here.

To be fair this property is apparently being reopened. It looks like from probably being closed for 2 to 3 years. I’m just guessing by the looks of things? When we booked the room it said poolside unfortunately the pool is in the middle of being re-opened and cleaned up as it is covered in weeds so high you can’t see the pool. It could be really nice once it’s open but I shouldn’t have paid $300 for a “pool side” view when a pool even available at the time. This is not for anyone that is in a wheelchair or any type of walking disability at least on the North building up the street that we stayed at and in the rooms had been recently updated. The bathroom shower is very small and the shower faucets are small and difficult to operate and has the potential to freeze yourself, or potentially scald yourself if you try to operate it while you’re inside of the shower. The grounds themselves are a bit of a mess and need a lot of repairs and upgrades to probably be considered even a good stay in the ratings. But, I give them a lot of credit for getting this place going again, but until the pool is actual open there needs to be some honesty and when you’re booking it thinking that there is a pool and there really isn’t one available. Maybe it will be ready next week or next month or maybe not this summer?

We apologize for the miscommunication in missing your calls. As per my conversation with you we are in the final stages of renovations and everything is being cleaned up as we speak. We wish you would have went into the room to see all of the updates we did but we definitely understand your issues and apologize again.

Don't Do It!
Hotel advertises an outdoor pool but there is none. When I asked about it, I was told that it was at their other property down the street, that this hotel's guests, didn't have rights to that pool, and it's not ready anyway. The owner offered no apology for their misleading & incorrect listing. I reserved a room called LAKESIDE with pictures of it being lakeside with a direct view of the lake. This was not the case at all. Instead, the owners of the hotel were staying in that very room. There was an alarm clock that randomly went off at 6am. It's only option was Snooze. I unplugged it and it continued to go off. I finally put it outside, watched an employee take it, and now the hotel wants to charge me for the clock. The hotel is listed as renovated, but it's merely painted over, as seen in pictures below. It's in the middle of absolutely nowhere and nothing. The family/owners do loud work outside at midnight disturbing guests, then start up again with banging on the walls at 6:30am. They also charge the Full Amount 3 days before you check-in. We stayed 1. When I asked for a refund, I was told they'd have to work it out with Hotels.com. But I paid them directly. I ended up having to file a dispute with my bank to get my money refunded.

Don't let the outside fool you. The room was immaculate and very nice. Bed was stupendous! Rain shower was added bonus! It looks like money is being spent to upgrade the property and I hope to visit again.
