I can’t say enough how incredible the service and the place are. Elena is very accommodating to the core. It is close to the beach, across the road, and convenient to all other tourist location in the island. Definitely recommended.

Very beautiful property right across from a walkable beach ! We had a late check in and hosts gave clear directions and even met us. Cottage had a kitchen and everything you need to cook and even a Brita water pitcher in fridge. Grounds were gorgeous and lots of parking !Close to lots of shopping and dining . Will stay here again if we visit Maui again. Thank you !

We liked our cottage and their lovely manicured gardens so much! Everything you will need is inside. Air conditioning even in each room! The kitchen contains the essential equipment to cook!! We prefer living like this compare to a big hotel. This location is charming and safe. The beach is secluded, tranquil and allows for long walks. The hostesses are a delight! We paid $13 to Uber to take us to Kihei villages where restaurants, shopping and music abound. Recommend Nano Lani big time!

This place is a treasure. The cottage we stayed in was clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The staff was so kind and courteous. I give this place 10 stars. Although the pictures posted are indeed the rooms available they just don't do this place justice. The grounds are beautiful. I would choose these cottages over a big resort ANYTIME!! To say I'm highly pleased and impressed with our stay is an understatement

Great family owned cottage
Great family owned vacation cottage! Not walkable to restaurants but right across the street from a beautiful beach. They even provided beach chairs and an umbrella! Beautiful property grounds. Staff was beyond helpful and excellent! Couldn’t ask for a more hospitable and welcoming cottage for our trip. Highly recommend.

Nona Lani Cottages was everything that we'd hoped for and more. The cottage was in excellent condition and fully functional. The location was great; across the road from a beach and a short drive to South, Central, and West Maui sites of interest. We found our cottage to be very peaceful making it easy to chill and relax with little evidence of other guests. I'm so happy that we ended up at Nona Lani instead of a resort or condo.

Convenient Location; Dated Interiors
Nona Lani is very conveniently located not far from the entrance to S Kihei Road. This makes it a great point for staging excursions to other areas without the hassle of navigating S Kihei during times of high traffic. Although right across from the beach, I would hesitate to call any of the cottages "ocean view", as there is an obstructing embankment right across the street. And anyways, you are better off in the quiet cottages set back in the garden, away from the street and all the passing cars. The grounds are well-manicured and pleasant, there is free parking not far from your cottage. The manager greeted us warmly on arrival. On the downside, the cottage decor was extremely dated, and thoughtful amenities were lacking, such that any romantic nuance was lost. There was no complementary tea/coffee, no basics in the kitchen like salt/pepper shakers, and certainly no charming basket of fruit to greet us when we walked in. The mattress was overly hard, there were few hangers in the closet, and there were no stands to set travel bags off the floor. It was our first stay in Maui, so I don't have a great basis for comparison on the island, but we later stayed at a B&B in Kaua'i that cost significantly less and was far, far cozier. Surely more could be done in this area. In summary, it's a great location right across from the beach, with quick access to important roads. But couples seeking a cozy romantic getaway should probably look elsewhere.

Positively exceptional !! From check-in to check-out we were treated like long time Ohana (family). Our cottage was perfect for the two of us. Very clean inside and out. The front deck was great for morning coffee. We walked across the street and enjoyed our morning walk on the beach. Was cottage AC was a huge plus for our July visit and gave a wonderful sleep.

The cottages were so quaint on the outside, they blended in with the landscape and other cottages on the property to create a very intimate and authentic feel. Inside the cottage everything was updated and modern, with a beautiful walk in shower and dual showerheads in the bathroom. The family that owns the properties have been there 50 years, and they were so friendly and kind! I would 10/10 stay here again, and recommend it to all my friends!

My wife and I stayed at the Nona Lani cottages for the latter-half of our honeymoon. What a hidden gem! It's a beautiful oasis that's tucked away, and my wife immediately fell in love with the garden; it's apparent that a lot of care and love goes into maintaining the property. It's a family-owned operation (Maui Natives), and they really welcome you with open arms and make you feel at home. We stayed in one of the three available suites which were all located in the back building next to the office. The suite was very clean and the personnel were amazingly helpful and kind. We happened to get the suite with a private patio which looked out onto the garden. It was beautifully serene and felt safe.

The accommodations were definitely rustic. It had a mildew/log cabin smell. Our air conditioner was broken, but because we checked in after office hours, we didn't have a means of getting it fixed. In the evening, the bathroom counters were covered with small bugs. They seemed harmless, but it was a little gross. Cleaning during the stay is not included.

Exceeded our expectations. Clean, quiet room, lovely private lanai (patio), beautiful gardens, and a wonderful beach directly across the road. A word of advice to anyone staying in Kihei - bring earplugs as there are a lot of feral chickens around and the roosters start crowing very early!

The perfect non-resort experience!
Perfect accommodation for a small family who is not looking for the resort experience. Wonderful location across from beach and great launching point for adventures on the west side. Clean and modern. Could not ask for anything more. Staff was very welcoming and friendly.

There is nothing I did not like about this property. Nona the owner and all the workers there are very friendly and helpful. There is a pomelo tree outside our room and Nona cut some and put them in pur refeigerator. The room was spacious and clean, the location was excellent just across the beach. Will go back and stay here again.

A delightful stay
Great accommodations. A little too far for walking to the eateries in town, but nice beaches right across the road. Definitely a less congested area, which made it very relaxing and quiet. House keeping is extremely thorough and it had the quietest/nicest AC unit. Definitely would recommend.

Our stay at Nona Lani Cottages was EXCELLENT! What a gorgeous place! The rooms are huge and full of a/c lol. A plus in Maui. The location couldn't be more central to everything. And just the grounds are so lushy and beautiful and full of Hawaii vibes. I loved this place! Check-in was sooo easy and everyone was wonderful.

Best stay in Hawaii
Staying with Nona and her family was a wonderful experience. We'd never met a family with that kind of hospitality and kindness. The rooms and cottages are clean and are equipped with what you need, the garden is so amazing, the location is great, it's near to restaurants, shops and a cozy beach. If we visit Hawaii again we'd come to Maui just to stay with Nona in that beautiful garden. We got help and tips for everything we asked for, like where to dive, hike, eat, surf, what look out for and what not to do. Her daugther Valerie cooked us a wonderful three course meal and we had the great opportunity to dine with the family and get to know them. That really made our trip to Hawaii a fantastic treat and we'll always be greatful for that.

We only stayed one night. Wish it was longer. The room was much bigger and nicer than I expected. The staff was amazingly sweet and helpful and friendly. Was pricey but I think that was all because of location.
