"Beautiful place. We loved the fact that it's 799 years old, thinking about all the people that have come and gone before us enjoying the same space. Pretty grounds right on the river Dee. Old cemetery and remains of a chapel right behind for exploring. Natural beauty all around. Staff was welcoming and helpful. We stayed in a suite and everything met our expectations. "Traditional hotel opposite the railway station. Very large room with a bath as well as shower. Good value. Pleasant staff and a good bar and restaurant. Very quiet the night we stayed. Easy walk to all the city attractions. The car park is small and tight but they have just started offering reserved parking for a small fee. Would certainly stay again. The only snag was a very warm room with no obvious way of turning off the heating"
