"The room was clean, Bar was closed when we got there at 10:30. The forth floor smelled like wet rug and there were a lot of drop ceiling tiles missing. The air conditioner was loud and made a strange noise every time it turned on. I only stayed one night so it was bearable."

"The man that checked me in was quite excited about the news he was watching. Telling me about the us giving money to Ukraine and another country. He thought he should be receiving money instead."

Tru by Hilton Katy Houston West
8/10 Good
"We enjoyed the breakfast a lot! Unfortunately, we didn't see any orange juice. The bed was very comfortable but my husband wanted an extra pillow which was not supplied. Also, there was no liquid soap in the dispenser for the shower. We specifically asked the housekeeping staff for this 2 things to be taken care of, but they weren't. Besides that, everything was fine."

Palacio Royale Inn Boutique Katy

"Disappointing that the elevator did not work; making it more difficult to get to 2nd and 3rd floor with luggage. We hope that it is fixed in a timely fashion, so we don't have the same difficulty in 2 weeks."

Aloft by Marriott Katy Mills
6/10 Okay
"The A/C in our room wouldn't go below 70; we had to set it for 66 in order to get it to blow enough for 70. 68 kept it at 72. But keep in mind this is Texas where summer starts early, so the sun was pounding through the shade drawn. The water doesn't get above lukewarm, which I figure is another conservation method, but I feel like there should be a sign to give a heads up. I'd even pay a surcharge for hotter water than what we got. The bed was noisy, which might matter to couples looking to stay here. The bar, WXYZ, wasn't open most of the time. Only 6-8, and I didn't know about Re:Fuel until a day in when I saw it online. But I didn't see it in the hotel, and the front desk never mentioned it. Also, at one point we tried to call down for towels but the phone in our room didn't work. They have the shower products in containers on the wall, which is great, except they refill those bottles instead of replacing them- so I ended up conditioning my hair with body wash and the body wash container was empty. My husband was able to get conditioner from the front desk, but if it's not easy for maid service to refill the containers correctly, a different method might be better. Also, bring your own pillow unless you like having to stack flat pillows. After thinking about all of this, I'd probably rate our stay at a 1 or 2, but my hotel mates made it an enjoyable stay so my initial rating was optimistic and made with rose-colored glasses. Other Alofts might be better."
