The price for this hotel seemed too good to be true, which it was. The hotel vibes match what they advertise and the price seems worth the stay, but it is not in a remote area like they promote. It is located behind a gas station with better views of the highway then the mountains. The cafeteria style food was all delicious but not exactly like multiple different restaurants more like different types of food with a shared dining space. The lounge was closed for construction and the rooftop didn't face the mountains. Also the thermal hot springs are much more than a 10 minute hike and are public to the entire town and not just for the hotel guests like it seemed. Parking was easy on the property, rooms were an average size for Europe, and staff was nice.

Room was nice and very clean. Dining area is a great concept but despite menus stating that staff would be able to assist with dietary requirements, there weren’t any gluten free options at all. When I asked, staff were extremely rude with one even saying “I’ve never even heard of that (coeliac disease).” I wouldn’t rush to stay again.

This is a lovely hotel, and we appreciated that everything we needed was provided on the property. There is a small food court, and a small gift shop. The greenhouse atmosphere was comforting. There is also a small shopping center next door with a market, a bakery, and a gas station. This hotel is a great find!

We liked our stay here a lot if you are looking to stay in the south region. The best part of this hotel was the attached food hall which had various beverage and food options.

Hotel room was nothing like the pictures. It was much smaller, way too hot, the windows were filthy, covered in bird poop, and the accommodations were tired and old. I told the reception desk that I was unhappy with the condition of the room, especially the windows and she didn’t care. She simply said “I’m sorry, how about a free drink?” However, the food vendors were amazing. Lovely food area, horrible hotel room. Stay somewhere else and just eat here.

A great find!
The Greenhouse is a find. It's one-stop shopping for all sorts of Icelandic treats, including a Northern Lights wake-up call and the possibility of a surprise bottle of bubbly in the room upon arrival. We had an issue with heat in the room at 2am and the all-night staff was AMAZING. We ended up sleeping just fine and truly appreciating their efforts.

I LOVED my stay at the greenhouse hotel. I was there for 4 nights and it was truly everything that I had hoped. Not only is it a stunning hotel, but the rooms were great (with heated bathroom floors), the shop had everything I could want as far as Icelandic takeaways, the cafe was always open which helped with early mornings, and the food at the popups was incredible. There were also a lot of people from surrounding hotels and passing through that would come there to eat and shop so the energy was really fun. You got to see a lot of travelers and at night, they would put on the football game for everyone to watch. It felt really communal but also if you want your own experience, it caters to that as well. I truly wish I could have stayed for longer and if I return to Iceland, I will absolutely be staying there again. Can't recommend enough!

The Hotel gave us the feeling of staying at a store with hotel rooms. Check in was easy and fast. Not much to see around the hotel but walking distance to a grocery store. Rooms were small and had no usb ports. They had two wooden folding chairs to sit in. I would give this a Three star rating. The Breakfast was small and charged 2900Isk

Great property with a food hall below which served a variety of foods. Only weird if I might say aspect was the smell of the bathroom. It was that geothermal water smell, which we are okay with, but way way stronger and almost smelt like poop? Other than that beautiful place and great location!

We enjoyed our shirt overnight stay at the greenhouse hotel! The taco truck in the food court was excellent and the staff were lovely. Our room was smaller than anticipated based on the photos, and we thought the hotel was more secluded than right off the main road. However, it was still a lovely place to spend the evening and we found the cheapest coffee we’ve had in all of Iceland ag their cafe!

Wow, this boutique hotel had such a cool vibe! I was actually bummed that I only booked this hotel for one night because it was so beautiful inside and had a plethora of good dining options inside. The room also came with 2 tickets for free entry to the local swimming pool down the street, where i enjoyed the pool, jacuzzi, steam room, and cold plunge! Not cheap by any means, but you know what you’re getting into when travelling throughout Iceland. They also gave me a 2 hour extended check-out upon request as I had a long drive ahead after I left. I took a lot of photos of the inside of this place because the decor was absolutely eye catching. A true highlight of my 10 days in the country.

Hotel is in a good location with groceries, gas, bakery and numerous restaurants in walking distance. Close to Highway 1 as well. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Very busy as many groups were in and out the 3 nights we were there. There was some degree of background noise at night from cars, music, motorbikes, etc. But I would definitely return to this place.
