"Rented one of the cabins but was very disappointed to discover the water heater was broken and did not produce hot water for the showers. Instead we had to use the community showed and they were dirty and the clientele created a filthy unclean shower space..... Overpriced and not the comfortable experience we were looking for with a cabin."

We fished right off the pier. The owner was super nice and greeted us. We will definitely be going back. Every one we encountered was super friendly. Local eats were delicious. Beautiful scenery."

Beautiful scenery, cool creek area to kayak some depending on water levels, wooded trails to walk, friendly goats and chickens (we got to help feed the baby goats which was an unexpected bonus), and overall laid back feel while not being to far from anything. The host(s) were more than helpful with any questions. Very kind, personable, and down to earth. Even gave us some fresh eggs to eat which are...

"The prior low reviews aren't very relevant, but here's my 2 cents. The house is actually very superb for the price. The parking spot sucks for a Diesel Excursion, but I made it work. The beds are semi-comfortable and sleep 6. However, the seating is only for 2-3 adults. There was also one cockroach that we found, but we're near the water, that's to be expected. I liked that I didn't have to spend extra money on pet fees and that it's not too far from I-45."
