I stayed there with my wife while I was in the area on business - I went to work and my wife caught up with friends. I can remember the hotel site from when it was Henley Brewery so it was particularly interesting for me to see the conversion and development. I have to say that, sorry as I was to see the brewery go, the hotel is a triumph and the rooms have been imaginatively converted to provide some comfortable yet quirky accommodation. Our room was over two levels, with a huge bathroom comprising a fantastic stand alone bath and excellent shower. The courtyard would have been a pleasure to have experienced if only the weather had been good enough and the bars and restaurant were cleverly laid out with some quaint nooks and crannies. One slight gripe, which is why my overall rating was "pleasing" rather than "excellent" - for the fairly high price of the room, I should have thought that breakfast ought to have been included, which it wasn't.
"Good value £10 taxi to Henley regatta 15 min walk"
Lovely setting , ample safe parking , friendly staff that compensated for the functional training room style deliigate bedrooms. That are adjacent to the main building . Very clean and a good nights sleep. .
Booked this for the Henley Regatta weekend and I'm so pleased we want here instead of a chain hotel in Reading which was the only other option at the time.
Room was gorgeous, lots of character and a comfy bed. The food in the bar was great - my husband had one of the best fillet steaks he has ever had. Cooked breakfast was perfect and I liked how you could help yourself to as much posh coffee as you wanted.
The staff we're very friendly and everything was clean. We will definitely stay again!
Very pleased with my stay at the Fat Fox inn. The staff were very pleasant, the room was clean and well presented and breakfast (which was included) was excellent - plenty of choice and very prompt.
