"From the moment we arrived at the gate, our name was beautifully printed on an envelope filled with information. We pulled up to this beautiful cozy hotel/resort. We were met with the valet, who unloaded the luggage and then offered us a complimentary glass of champagne she was so attentive to us, learned our names, explained everything about the layout. Our suite was huge, two TV's fireplace and a glorious plush bed. A three ring notebook filled with any questions you may have, both at Valhalla and the surrounding areas, hikes, wineries anything outdoors. The staff was second to none everyone went out of their way to make you feel welcomed. The pricing for breakfast and lunch no more than you would spend in Helen. The food was delicious and beautiful. I had a massage and facial both felt like heaven. The views were simply overwhelming in its beauty. The hotel was clean, I felt very safe...my next trip will definitely include Valhalla! Small children might get bored, but with all the water parks, tubing, hiking and kayaking school age and up will find plenty to do. I'm not a golfer but from looking at it it was well maintained and you couldn't ask for better views. Great venue for a wedding or any other celebration. "

"Best location! Walkable to everything in downtown Helen in a few minutes. Proximity to the Chattahoochee was my favorite part of our stay. The balcony overlooking the river was pleasant and enjoyable even in a rainstorm. We enjoyed watching all the fishermen in their waders. We would definitely stay here again. A bit dated but you can tell from the pictures so that is not a surprise. Our bed was comfortable and the linens and towels were clean and tidy. Great weekend stay! "

"It was a great place to stay. It is an older hotel so it is dated as far as carpets etc. but the rooms are big and spacious. Clean. Staff are wonderful as well. "
