The staff were very slow in all interactions and the hotel was not well signposted from the car park (we didn’t know there was a casino).
When we arrived we couldn’t find the reception to begin with. Once we did, check in was very slow - the staff member tried to charge me twice and failed to return my passport until I asked for it. The rate we found online on The Star website was cheaper than what reception were trying to charge us, so we had to stand their and book it online at the desk, when it would have been much easier if the staff member could have just honoured the online rate for us at the desk.
We were encouraged to sign up for the member club to get free parking but my card was still charged for the parking. Signing up for the club was a tedious process online but we then had to go to the membership desk to collect our card, which was a great inconvenience to the staff working on that desk too.
The room itself however, was lovely. Great views, good size beds and very clean. I would revisit the hotel for the rooms and the location but there are definitely improvements that could be made to the operations of the hotel.
