“Heaven in Italy”
We spent 3 days with our little daughter at sostio a levante. It is like a place out of a dream. The Farm is surrounded by winyards and mountains and you can see the mediteranian in the distance. It is very quiet and romantic, you can sit under the trees and enjoy a glass of wine while taking in the views. My daughter loved the two dogs to play with. The place is extremely clean, the rooms are a good size. The best part....dinner! Homecooked italian cuisine 3-5 courses every night and ranging from game over fish to pasta and meat. We ate more than we should every night because it was that good..they serve a local wine with dinner which is excellent. The service overall is incredible and I would go back in a heartbeat and stay even longer this time. The place is constantly booked and it is a great place for families or for a romantic getaway.
“Sostio a Levante”
Hotel is 30 min drive from Levante in the hills. GPS can not find it! We asked people on the street to help us find. Hotel is very very nice. Nature is beatifull. If you do not mind driving it is perfect for rest. Very clean. Good breakfast. We visited Cinque Terre by train from there and after hard day :-) we rested in the hills of Liguria. Would recomand and would come here again.
“Tuscany Treasure”
Idyllic setting on a meticulously manicured vineyard/farm nestled on a hillside with the Mediterranean in the distance. The owners were very helpful and considerate. Breakfast was amazing: homemade pastries, bread, local cheeses and meats, juice, coffee, tea, fruit, etc. elegantly presented on the veranda. The very comfortable rooms were in a newly constructed, separate building. My wife had always dreamed of watching a Tuscan sunset while drinking a glass of Italian wine. The reality matched her fantasy. In a way it was a Cialis moment ... without the bathtubs.
“Very impressed”
Owners were very helpful, assisted with finding the hotel and with itinery for local sites. We will definetly consider staying again.
“"Italy at it's best"”
This charming hotel was the best we stayed at during a 14 day trip through Italy. It's location was perfect - breathtaking mountains and beautiful sunsets! The rooms were large and comfortable. But, the best part about our stay was the food - the owners cooked us breakfast and dinner and both were amazing! I highly recommend for anyone visiting the Cinque Terra area.
“Stranded in Cinque Terra”
We stayed at this bed & breakfast during the castrophe in Cinque Terra in October 2011. They shuttled us down to the train station in Deva Marina and we set off to tour the villa's. While touring them we got stranded in Corneglia overnight because of landslides taking out the train stations and the roads and wasn't able to get back to them. They were deeply concerned & were in contact with us the whole time. When we finally made it back to Deva Marina by boat, they were waiting for us. Not only were they great hosts, but the room was the best we had while in Italy and the food as well. They have wonderful views and they are close to the train station. They even helped get us to our next destination. I would recommend this place to everyone.
“Perfect taste of Liguria & base for Cinque Terre”
How many words or expressions to say "perfect in every way"? We are a well-traveled American couple living in Switzerland, and wanted to find a hidden-gem in the beautiful countryside as a base to explore nearby Cinque Terre for 4 days. We could have stayed a week. The owners have been dedicated to running this beautiful B&B for over a decade. Thanks to the GPS, arrival was easy though the area roads are very hilly (~15 min off the highway). They have a perfect spot, nestled all alone with the green forested hills behind, overlooking the Mediterranean with perfect sunset views in the evening. Down the hill is their own vineyard and olive grove, which inspire the home cooked Ligurian-cuisine meals worthy of the top restaurants anywhere. The room balanced rustic exterior of the farmhouse site but entirely modern and warm interior. The heated tile floor was perfect for these colder months. The breakfast included a wide range of delicious homemade pastries and local-produced cheeses and meats. Each night, we had a several course dinner generously prepared and served as we sat by the fire and savored every bite. Over the past 3 years, we have traveled to a dozen countries across three continents, and nowhere have we experienced the raw beauty, wonderful hospitality, and indulgent tastes as here at Sostio e Levante. If Expedia hosts a top-pick of Italy or Europe, please write or call - we wholeheartedly endorse this delightful Agroturismo for singles, couples, or families.
“lovely countryside stay with great food”
I liked this hotel, really B&B or agriturismo. Beautiful countryside, cute goats, vines, etc. The building with our room was new and designed in the historic Tuscan style - gorgeous. The food was very nice - one wondrous meal, one good meal. Nice local (made on the premises) wine. Our hosts were extremely gracious and accomodating. One big problem the walls are so thin we could hear our neighbor snore ALL NIGHT! crazy. Also because of the winding roads it was fun to find, but once we did it was easy to get back and fairly conveneint to the Cinque Terre towns--as convenient as you can be over the winding hillside/seaside roads.
“Pleasant stay with hosts that go the extra mile”
Always a challenge to find the place as sat nav didn't take us to the right place, just like any agriturismo in Italy. Anyhow, once arrived, we were welcomed by 2 very friendly Labrador dogs, of which my kids have a lot of fun with during our two night stay. Quadruple room is basic but clean. I wish there are shower screens in the bathroom, as had to be careful not to flood the room when taking a shower. The homemade cakes are yum, yoghurt very fresh, everything taste very fresh unlike commercialised breakfasts that you can get in most big chain hotels. Dinner at very reasonable Eur20 per adult with plentiful good food with few courses and red wine is great too. You need a car to get to this place, and the nearest framura station is about 3 miles away. The station is only 3 stops away from monterosso, first cinque terre village. We could cover all 5 villages in a day. The hosts laura and her husband are very down to earth and helpful, in providing suggestions on parking, and where to go in cinque terre. We left Italy on the next day, only to realise, my daughter's favourite blanket was left in the room. Laura was very kind to agree to post it back to London. Am very grateful and touched. Overall, it's a beautiful place with great hosts, who are so willing. Kids are missing the dogs.
