Dubai is the place where tourists go to get treated like royalty. This fantastic city-state is the lap of luxury, and boasts unbelievable resorts like Ski Dubai, indulgent wares at the Dubai Shopping Festival, and an incredible selection of dining that ranges from familiar chains like Starbucks to local treats like shawarma served by street-side vendors.
If you would like some excitement, this location also offers such activities as kite-surfing on Wollongong Beach, track racing at the Dubai Autodrome, and diving from the shores of the Arabian Gulf. Although finding a good deal on anything may be difficult in this location, cheap flights to Dubai are usually easy to locate.
From November to May, the climate in Dubai is brilliantly warm and mild. Tourists gather during these months, making it difficult to find inexpensive flights. If you can find a good deal, though, this period is great for taking part in such outdoor activities as exploring the Camel Market, visiting the Lost Chambers zoo, or taking in some local colour by visiting the Heritage and Diving Villages.
The shoulder season in Dubai falls from late September to October. These months see an increase in warmth, making them excellent for sunbathing at the Jumeirah Beach Park, or exploring some notable attractions like the Bastakiya District or the Burj Khalifa.
Flights to Dubai are at their cheapest from June through early September, and it is easy to see why. These months can be impossibly hot, so tourists flee the area in search of cooler climates.
Considering the price of flights, this is a great time to indulge in some climate-controlled pampering, like getting a massage at the Talise Spa, or a facial at the Sensasia Urban Spa.

Taxis are reasonably-priced and quick, taking about 10 minutes to arrive at the city centre. An even cheaper, though slower, option is the Dubai Metro bus.
