Everything was efficient and the staff were helpful;. Only on the last night the room was not made up until 6-30 pm after four requests. Otherwise we had a most enjoyable stay.

Excellent location. Very close to Royal Mile and easy walk to Castle, Waverly station or Holyrood Palace. Staff was friendly and very helpful. Breakfast was delicious and convenient. Only detractor was some areas of room were looking worn. Bathrooms could use some better ventilation. Beds were very comfortable. Would stay here again or recommend to firends.

The hotel location and amenities are great. The bellhop service to help unload and take luggage from vehicle to the room could improve, especially after concierge hours. Breakfast was great and front desk staff were helpful, especially Lea.

Property is under construction in a major way. They did not tell us this before we arrived, giving us no chance to book another location. When we asked for compensation or to move our room that didn’t have a view of scaffolding and cranes, we were ignored. We paid a lot of money to stay in that location, and for there to be no refund, compensation or otherwise, feels like we were duped. Clearly, that’s a popular location, so we were glad for that, but an organization that doesn’t communicate that level of construction, seemed dishonest to us. Buyer beware.

Not the hotel's fault but there are major roadworks outside at the moment and the road was gridlocked & noisy. Apart from that the lift system was 'quirky' with one list out of order for much of the time. Other than that we had a good time, the hotel is very well placed between the Royal Mile and Princes St. Excellent buffet style breakfast with a very full range of options.
