We stayed in the suite there, which was one of the most spacious, elegant (without being dated or fussy) and comfortable, suites we've ever enjoyed - and we are frequent and older world travelers. In fact, we arrived from Paris, where we stayed in a suite at a 5-star hotel that was literally 1/4 of the size and was 2.5x the price. Given the name of the hotel I thought it might be a little more "precious" than it was - Thankfully, It was chic, very buttoned up, modern (though sheathed in an old. classical facade) and 5-stars all the way. The lobby situation is a little confusing rn because they are restoring part of their exterior, so where to enter is not initially clear. Aside from that though, the public areas, the staff, and our amazing room were all fabulous. Can't recommend more highly

Excellent hotel and amazing staff. Really enjoyed my stay here. I recommend the breakfast as well, even though it was quite on the expensive side, the service was top notch. The one critique I have is the parking price. It's triple the price of the parking lots just mext door, which is unjustified. Otherwise, highly recommended and would vosit again.

Great location for the Christmas markets. Everyone at the hotel was so kind and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. The breakfast buffet was Delicious. Only critic was the pool was to cold. Parking was a nightmare… do your research before you arrive. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Beautiful boutique type of property which seems to be so well maintained. Decorationsnot worn in the least and very clean. Staff were so kind and helpful from arrival to departure even walking down the street to try and find our taxi driver. The bedroom we had was compact but again very clean and well decorated. Bathroom well appointed with powerful, hot walk-in shower. The only thing missing was a few drawers to store small items of clothing but the walk-in wardrobe was great. Dining room was well laid out and breakfast was delicious. Once again all the staff were attentive and helpful. The cafe and bar area was nice with good selection of drinks served with complimentary savoury snacks. However, it did lack some comfortable chairs to relax in for and early evening drink. Would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone visiting Ghent.

The hotel was lovely in every way with excellent room and relaxing breakfast. The staff we met were helpful and friendly. There is also a lovely bar for a night cap if needed! The hotel is handy for the centre of town but also quiet. Trams are also close by.

This is a luxury hotel with rooms that are generously sized, plush, quiet, and comfortable. They even let me check in early. I appreciated the nespresso and tea options available in the room. The breakfast buffet was also extensive with everything you could want. Beautiful hotel and wonderful stay!

Give Ghent a go
We stayed in Ghent because it lies between Bruges and Brussels, making days out by train really easy; and because Ghent has amazing heritage of its own. The hotel staff were always very helpful and welcoming. We opted out of the breakfast, which we thought was a little overpriced at face value; although the food in the bar was excellent. The walk into the historic centre of Ghent is short and really lovely, and the hotel is well placed for some of the best restaurants in the city.

second time we have stayed here , lovely hotel perfect location, cleanliness above and beyond, only criticism lighting very dull need brighter lighting, sinks are a waste of time as you can't hold water as there isn't a plug you just waste water ( sily idea ), breakfast fantastic choice restaurant very clean and staff excellent.

This hotel is difficult to criticise.The breakfast was superb and the staff were helpful. My only criticism is the speed of the broadband. It is ok to surf the net but I could not download the Times at breakfast ! The latter is important to me but probably not for most people.

After refusing the rooms at NH Belfort we found Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel in Ghent and could not of been happier. Wonderful room, service and food in the dining venues.

Fabulous stay in a stunning city
Absolutely amazing hotel, quiet understated luxury - fabulous sauna and swimming pool. I can’t comment on food as we didn’t eat at the hotel but the restaurant looked beautiful. Rooms were large with walk in wardrobes and large bathrooms, with all the amenities you could wish for including a good selection of coffees and teas. Location was perfect, a few minutes walk over St Michael’s bridge into the historic centre yet quieter and relatively free of bikes!

I have to say that my stay at Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof was excellent, even for just one night. The hotel lobby and the second-floor bar had lovely decor, making a great first impression as well. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with all the typical amenities, and the welcome snack (chocolate and pastry) was delicious. The hotel also offers a small gym, pool, and sauna if you wish to relax at the hotel before or after exploring Ghent! Last but not least, the excellent service we received from the hotel staff stood out. The front desk staff warmly welcomed us and provided us with great details on what to do in Ghent. The service at the second-floor bar was also exceptional. Lastly, one of the front office managers, Marie, helped us coordinate the return delivery of a jacket we had left in the room after checking out and leaving Belgium! I can't stress enough how much I appreciate their assistance. Overall, I had an amazing experience and felt incredibly happy during my stay at this hotel.

Upon arrival my reservation was lost. The front desk looks really good and modern, but it doesn’t help much when front desk personell is not overly competent and your systems bad. Staff in the cafe/restaurant outside in the backyard ate extremely slow and never showes a smile, and you were sold out on almost everything on the menu. When they could’nt even make a mojito or a bitter lemon in the evening, but «only had berries» the whole thing came close to a parodi. Cleaning was also under pari, hair on the walls in the shower, trash on the bedside table. Some towels thin, and didn’t smell like they were properly washed. All in all, way below expectations.
