Walked into the lobby and the hotel manager was wearing a N95 mask because of the amount of dust from construction. Since it was past the time I could get a refund I figured I do not spend that much time in the Lobby so I could deal with 5 minutes of dust at check in. What I did not know was that because of the dust the fire alarms kept going off from 5:30pm to 11:30pm and then again the next morning at 6:am to 9:30am. They refused to offer any sort of compensation since they stated that it was posted it was under remodeling(I did not see that on anywhere on the listing so not sure where they mention it). I talked with the general manager and pointed out that even if they had posted about remodeling that does not include fire alarms going off repeatedly making it impossible to have a restful stay. The way they handled the situation tells me they are not concerned with their review ratings or customer relations. I would avoid this hotel and any that are under the same management group. You can see other reviews around this same time having the same issue.

Property was under renovation. Pool was not available but was still shown in amenities. Room was renovated, but clear shortcuts with no closet door, safe on floor, and very old microwave. Clear smell of weed smoke from room next door. Check in precess seemed to be slow. Staff was very friendly.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION. Pool is not in service. This was NOT listed on advertisement. Tarps hung in hallways. Construction debris and cargo containers in parking lot. Hair in sheets and towels. Extremely disappointed with facility. Will never return or recommend.

The staff was wonderful! We had stayed there in the past and now we know that whenever we come to Detroit area.. This is where we will stay! We were impressed with the care the staff had toward those that had to stay extendedly... Even bringing them breakfast to their table is needed.

The hotel staff was very nice and that is the only positive thing I can say about this hotel. It looked very very run down and dirty. I had to stuff tissues in the seam of the window so I didn’t hear everything happening outside. The window did not seal correctly. I will not be staying here again.

The place was nice, but you will need a vehicle to go around. The staff are amazing, and the breakfast is good. They keep the breakfast hot and fresh. Everyone working there is nice a kind, but a big shout out to Blaire, she is willing to go beyond the call of duty to help. She greeted us with a smile when we first got there (after a tired trip), and she also made sure we were in a room we liked. She switched out the room to make sure it was what we needed. She also opened the locked safe (the previous customer did not follow the instructions). She will help you as much as you need and always with a smile.

Run away quickly! Gross and terrible management!
Easily the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. I’ve never written a negative review on a hotel… ever. But this one warrants it. Found wrappers in bed - manager said I was “looking too hard.” Bright red stain in bed, overall cleanliness was atrocious. Bugs around, manager said “I didn’t see any bugs.” Manager claims she’s NEVER missed anything on an inspection, ever. Have to give her points for how humble she was in being the manager of the grossest hotel of all time. Her staff tells her she’s the best… I’m sure. Claims front desk agent me if I wanted a different room - absolutely did not happen, just let me leave. Run, not walk away from this poorly run hotel. Of all the places to stay in the area, it’s not worth the headache. Would not refund room, didn’t offer another room - blamed it all on me “looking too hard.”

From the minute we walked in our room, the room smelled like stale smoke. Overall the room appeared clean except for the caked on mildew under one of the soap shelves inside the shower AND the sofa had stains and food debris on it. Seems as if the beds were clean/tidy but the other furniture/tabletops weren’t wiped down at all. The 2nd night of our stay was interrupted by the people next door to us who were smoking marijuana. Since we were only staying 2 nts, we decided not to complain. A better job needs to be done with cleaning and making sure that the rooms don’t smell like smoke and a closer monitoring of the hallways to make sure people aren’t smoking in the rooms.

Our deadbolt lock was broken and busted off the walls. The leather chair was completely peeling, and our curtains were splattered with stains? One of the baseboards was also exposed and missing. Overall, it was really busted up and rough in there. It seemed decently clean at least, just broken stuff everywhere.

I liked the fact the property was clean. The one thing I didn't like was the slamming of the doors early in the AM, say around 3 or 4:30am, but I believe it was due to the doors not closing like they should. Outside of that, my stay was very pleasant.
