"Fantastic welcome from Lee, very knowledgeable and pointed out places to visit as well as recommending area to but local beer and mayo which the kids loved. Lovely Continental Breakfast, i usually dont eat it but it was very enjoyable. We were late checking out due to my oversight but the staff couldnt have been more accomodating. Will definitely revisit as the Hotel was great and we all fell in love witj the area and people."

"Not that far from Bruge but completely inaccessible if you don't have a car. Very pleasant green surroundings and the donkeys they had were friendly. Rooms,furnishings and decor very tired and basic - more like you would expect in a hostel. Main problem is that the 'hotel' was closing [for good] down a couple of days after our visit so was in the process of being stripped down - so no evening restaurant (no cooker left in the kitchen), nothing to make tea or coffee in your room. "I was unwilling to leave a negative review because the hotel owner was welcoming and pleasant, but unfortunately we left feeling ripped off. The area is quiet and safe, and the bed was clean and comfortable, but that is where the positives end. The bedroom feels miserable and shabby, with stark decor and old fashioned fittings, while the bathroom seriously needs updating and deep cleaning. There is no soap anywhere, no car park, the WiFi has no internet access, and the temperamental keycard...
