"Well presented and maintained smallish hotel with massive teak furniture all around. Rooms clean and comfortable. Near Hirugano Kogen ski park (although not a walking distance if carrying skis and gear) is a bit off the tracks. After a day in the ski fields, spa at level 5 is a great way to end the day. Japanese style dinner, included in the price is an 8-course meal that will stuff you well. Japanese breakfast is as if intended to keep you full until dinner. The restaurant is with chairs...

"Very comfortable and spacious room with great views. Excellent breakfast buffet in a sunny big room. Shuttle bus service is prompt and good to have as hotel is on edge of town. Onsen was lovely, with great views and several different ones to try aswell as a relaxation area."

"Hotel got 2 onsen, both with outdoor onsen. The one on 1F was so relaxing in a green setting. Rooms n amenities provided have also exceeded expectation. Hotel provides shuttle service from JR station, but very limited timing. Nonetheless, will stay again when in Takayama"

"I loved everything! It was so nice and cozy and the staff were very friendly. The onsens were amazing! Very convenient location and walkable everywhere. Definitely recommend! Only thing is that the staff doesn’t speak english too well so they told me the free ramen was at 1030 so I missed it the first night. It says it’s until 10:30pm but they only open for 30 minutes (opens at 9pm and last call is at 930pm) so I don’t think that part is super clear. Besides that everything was amazing! "

"Felt like an authentic japanese place to stay. The floor boards are a little squeaky and place is far from new but this place was perfect for us, the onsen was nice (male separated from female). We tiok some pics of ourselves in the provided japanese bathrobes, downstairs there is an area where a traditional fireplace would be which was great for photos."

"It is only a place to sleep nothing else. It is a little hard to climb stairs and does not suit to people over 50 years old. In Takayama city there are not restaurants to serve breakfast and this property does not provide anything else that good morning and sayonara. "
