"Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. The staff were great, very helpful with booking trips etc. The restaurant is excellent and the wood burning Pizzeria provides a great alternative. We will be back "

"Our cottage was wonderful and the bed so comfy! The grounds were beautiful, we were taken away as soon as we arrived. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The pool was a relief to have and so well maintained. And we loved the butterfly conservatory, we can't remember her name, sorry, but the girl that gave us the tour was so informative and easy to talk to. We will definately be back!"

"We have been staying at Grand Colony for years. The reason we keep returning is the convenience of walking down the beach to the dive shop, having a full size kitchen and individual bedrooms for everyone. There are no amenities to speak of. No restaurant, no bar, no spa, the beach chairs have seen better days but so has the beach. The sea grass is nothing Grand Colony can help but it does make the ocean unswimable. "This place was perfect. We had three girls in the two double bed rooms. We had a city view which was as expected ( we hardly are in our room so this stuff doesn’t bother us). The pool and beach were stunning! We did not eat there but had several drinks and they were all tasty! It’s about a 10-15 minute walk to the split and a 5 minute walk from the ferry dock. They did run out of pool towels while we were there but we just put them out to dry overnight. The cleaning staff was also phenomenal....

"We loved the eco friendly concept, and the resort and staff were wonderful. The food at the Rhum Shack was exceptionally good, and our compliments to the chefs. Our room was upgraded due to a birthday, which was appreciated. The beach was fantastic as were the pools. Andrew was the Concierge, and our tour guide on a full day tour to the ruins and cave diving. He was excellent, knowledgeable, and very professional! We enjoyed the tours so much thanks to him."
