Holed away in his little cabin in the Rockies, Carter began conserving and collating the local specimens and wildlife that would form the backbone of the museum’s current collection.Go on a journey with the native peoples in the North American Indian Cultures Hall. Learn about their way of life as you travel through re-constructed dwellings including an Eskimo house, a Navajo hogan, and a Cheyenne tipi.Discover the secrets of the ancients at the Egyptian Mummies exhibit. This is an utterly fascinating exhibition that employs modern technology to unearth the mysteries of the past. Using X-rays and CT scans, museum scientists have solved the riddle of two women who have been dead for over 3,000 years.Explore the universe and investigate space exploration, deep space and the solar system at the Space Odyssey exhibit. Dive into the cosmos and weave through black holes and super volcanos in the 125-seater planetarium.
