"My family and I stayed at El Caribe Resort & Conference Center from June 5–11 in the Ormond Beach Suite (Room 1709), and unfortunately this stay was a significant disappointment compared to our previous visits in 2015 and 2021. Upon arrival, we were immediately informed that our room’s entry door had existing damage and reassured that we would not be charged for it. After partially unpacking and completing a grocery run, we discovered that the refrigerator was not cooling properly. Staff responded promptly and moved us to another suite (Room 1310), which was larger and appeared to be an upgrade. We thanked them and fully unpacked our belongings, including our groceries. The following morning, after we had already hauled all of our beach equipment down to the beach for the day, I received a phone call informing me that the refrigerator in our original room had been repaired and that we would need to move back. At no point during the initial room transfer was it communicated that the move was temporary or for one night only. Had we been told that, we would have made very different decisions about unpacking. I explained that we had already unpacked everything and that moving again would significantly disrupt our vacation, but I was told that Room 1310 had already been assigned to another guest and that we had no choice but to return to Room 1709. The room had little silverware/plates, and I received an electrical shock from the back right burner of the stove while trying to cook"

"The room itself was great and offered plenty of space for a multi-night stay. The kitchenette was a nice addition and the view was definitely worth the extra cost. The air conditioner kept the room comfortable, handled the heat well and operated quietly, although it could not be set below 66 degrees. Parking was manageable during our stay, but I could see it becoming an issue during busier periods. Unfortunately, several aspects of the stay fell short. The breakfast was disappointing. The only hot items available were pancakes, which were either extremely hard or overly mushy. Both the apple and orange juice tasted heavily watered down and bananas were the only fresh fruit option offered. The bathroom also had some issues. The shower had extremely low water pressure, making it difficult to rinse shampoo from our hair almost used water bottles to finish rinsing. Additionally, the bathroom door nearly hit the toilet and dragged across the floor when opened."

"The staff was very friendly and nice, the view of the beach and the pool were amazing all in all the stay was amazing there were some minor flaws but the oceanview room we had was an amazing view!! There are more pros then cons!!"

"Our stay was unforgettable! It was a beautiful view of the water. Awesome location: the staff were very nice and helpful! The holiday inn is very missable! We will definatly go back! It's great for kids they have a good pool, breakfast, and way to the beach: it is an absolute amazing place!"

"Great hotel! Have stayed there for a week in 25' and 26'. No frills but it's clean, has a great pool, oceanfront with dedicated access. No breakfast but it's within walking distance of a couple restaurants. Great place and plan to return again next year! Marina, the GM, is also wonderfully friendly, as we're all the staff."
