Basic rooms .. Everything is pricey .. lunch for fam of 4 avg 150 .. they charge for evvvvveeeerrrything and pool small and paradise island is not what it look like on website .
We had booked an atrium room and we’re put in a regular room. When we request to move that they put us on the floor right in the middle of construction. When we request to move out of the construction, they put us right below the construction and could still hear the jackhammers. When we finally were put into a room without construction, we were not in the atrium room which we paid for. We were done moving rooms and ended up staying. The management was very rude and terrible. She offered us just a resort fee discount and that was it. We have stayed at this property between 30 and 40 times over the last 13 years and this was the worst experience.
Resort is really nice, great restaurants beautiful grounds perfect location there is so much to do.
I looked at the pictures of the rooms when I was booking, booked a room with the view was looking forward the trip… room I Got was on lower with the view of a bar ( 20 feet from my window ) and next to the walking path. View of the path and people walking next to balcony. Super noisy and room I had was tired. ( super tired things falling apart..) not what I was expecting looking at the pictures while booking.

Everything about Gaylord was 1st class, definitely expensive but generally worth it. However, the link with Expedia was absolutely outrageous. Gaylord could do nothing, they knew nothing. Every change or question or add to or whatever, “we don’t have that info or we can’t do that, you’ll have to contact Expedia”. Pain! Hassle! We will NOT use Expedia again. Had the SAME experience last week with a different hotel.
The staff was amazing, my wife and I were celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary and her 62nd birthday could not be happier with our stay, Thank you for all of your services and time.
Very easy stay. Good connectivity to grapevine and surrounding area. The food options on site are decent.
However, basic snack and drink prices, including the coffee shop are far to inflated.
We had a really bad experience with billing that took us 3 months to resolve. They billed us for another guests room and charged us almost $2k extra for our visit and did not handle rhe resolution properly.
This was our first stay and won’t be our last. We have already booked another trip with our whole family this time. Look forward to the summer vibes and what they bring.
I wouldn’t say the place is amazing well because it’s not. When it’s Christmas time it’s great but to stay during the winter save your money and go else where. We stayed there for a dance convention and it was because it was convenient with it being held there. There are shops and restaurants that have decent food and things to browse and spend your money on. All in all it was an alright hotel for an overpriced stay.
Booked a King room with a view, received a partial room view. I did try talk via app and it was no help. Request late check out for birthday staycation. I asked at front desk and said no availability. If you have a special night plan skip this place.
First, please train your staff to be quick and efficient at the check in counter. I received the worst customer service from Jessica/Brazil. She didn’t greet me, could barely speak any English. Her coworker checked in three guests in the time it took her to check me in! The room had no plastic laundry bags or complimentary coffee that was promised. For close to $400 a night we should get those two things. Wouldn’t stay there again.
