"More than most properties - Gille’s sprawling 16th, 17th and other centuries place will mould to your wishes. No heated pool for us and the games room remained quiet. But a wonderful maze with parking for only the Le Mans champs ( like myself). Everything is close and walkable."

"Absolutely loved our stay here and cannot more highly recommend. No reception with a check-in only on your phone and no room keys was delightful and easy. Super easy check-out too just on your phone. Beautiful little French breakfast offered and a stunning terrace with views of the city and theatre. Perfect central location with paid parking just across the street. The room was enormous, clean, and comfortable. Will absolutely be back - love this gem of a hotel!"

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"what a find clean and tidy inside a bit dated but nothing to worry about. Outside could definitely do with a cobweb sweep and the light fixed and the chairs in good condition one was broken when we git there. The site could do alot more perhaps a bit if entertainment etc and maybe a møre better takeaway although this didn’t stop is having a good holiday."

"Despite some mixed weather, we had a lovely week by the river. Lots of wildlife, even caught a glimpse of a red squirrel. The house is well equipped, with a cosy log burner for chilly evenings. Lots to see within an easy drive. There are plenty of guidebooks and maps available in the property for use of guests. This was our second visit and it is perfect for a relaxing stay."

"Restaurant service needs to improve. Dinner service was very slow and we had to ask twice for drinks, they just totally forgot about it. However food was delicious. Buffet breakfast was poor, not worth the price. We noticed a big group having breakfast before us, so basically we had to eat leftovers, for example only one piece of cheese was left and the staff didn't added more cheeses, scramble eggs were cold, not a good bread selection, no fruits.
