I did not like that even though they can look up your IHG account, they refused to acknowledge my IHG Diamond Ambassador Elite Status because I booked through a website other than IHG website. I am still “me” so how is it that I don’t get credit for staying here (points OR my stay nights acknowledged). They did allow me to park in the diamond elite parking though but that was only because the woman at the front desk said, “oh we don’t check that”. Another woman heard her say that, who I assume was not diamond elite and said, well we parking there too and told one more car that was with them to park there. Luckily I didn’t get a spot there but I believe if you have earned the status, that’s who should be allowed to park there. I did not like that. I also did not like that there no refrigerator, the microwave is down at the front desk and breakfast doesn’t start until 7:00am when it ppl are there for work, we usually are gone by that time. It was loud, doors slamming and difficult to sleep because the thermostat was broken. Early in the morning, there was staff smoking outside the front doors and the smoke smell was pungent. On the other hand. The staff were friendly, inviting and nice. I absolutely appreciate that. I would stay here again because of the cleanliness but it would be a last resort kind of thing. If I had other options with refrigerator and microwave, that’s where I would stay.
