Room was quite dark. It would have benefitted from one more light in the middle of the room controlled by a light switch rather than turning on 5 lamps.
Lovely hotel but let us down by not acknowledging the fact it was for a special occasion even though emailed the hotel in advance absolutely no recognition whatsoever which was very disappointing.

Very nice and modern lobby. Lovely club floor with views of river. Despite our room being a non-smoking room, smelled strongly of smoke. Suspect it was previously a smoking room and floors and walls still stink of smoke. Badly need to rip-up carpets and update some of rooms.
It is breathtakingly beautiful. The decor is amazing. The staff is attentive and always accommodating. The location is perfect close to all the major sightseeing places.
Outstanding hotel in a great central location with beautiful view of the river and cathedral from the room. A short walk over the bridge to shops, restaurants, and train station. The bar, restaurant and room service are all excellent if you don’t feel like going out. Very friendly and helpful staff, perfect stay.
We enjoyed the generously sized room in a modern, well maintained hotel. The gym was good and the sauna and pool a real bonus. The room could have done with more lights as it felt gloomy without the very large TV turned on. Overall a very pleasant experience.
Property was by the river with a short walk to the cathedral and Christmas markets. Everything was clean and well presented, rooms were a good size and they served an excellent breakfast with lots of choice.
The suite we stayed in was very spacious, much bigger than other suites around, and it faced the river and the famous Cologne Cathedral and the bridge. The suite was well maintained (contrary to some other comments we read in the hotel review). The extra bed, which we requested in advance, was noted by the hotel was ready at the time we check-in. The hotel staff was very helpful by arranging to bring our luggages to our room directly.
I stayed for 2 nights and my room was never cleaned once ( I didn’t have the DND hanged out )
Otherwise the check in staff / restaurants were so good . But the room cleaning service was disappointing
Location was good- great view across to the cathedral over the river. I found the reception staff unwelcoming. Bar staff were very friendly. Pool was very heavily chlorinated and looked to be dirty on the bottom and in a few areas around. Food options for dinner were limited (Italian with no pizza or bolognese for kids), sticky fingers restaurant was a bit pricey (€15 burger with no sides and covered in sauces yet lacking in flavor). The car park was full so I had to drive around for 30 minutes looking for a space- not ideal when traveling with a young child.

We had a wonderful stay. The service especially was welcoming and helpful. The buffet breakfast is a must!

The hotel is very nice. But I am still trying to fix all of the charges they made on my credit card. I had one charge for the room, one charge for incidentals then they made another one that does not show on my hotel bill. Expedia was no help trying to resolve the situation. Their breakfast is very good.
The room was comfortable and well-appointed.
The restaurants were FANTASTIC. I can't recommend STICKY FINGERS highly enough, especially their fish and chips. The breakfast buffet was the most expansive one I've ever seen, and the food was great, to boot.
We had one minor hitch and the hotel staff went over and above to make it up to us.
The hotel is located close to the Lock Bridge and across the river from the cathedral. It's easy to walk to a bunch of great places, and it's not far from the trains.

Had issues with room; requested separate shower. Went down twice to reception and was told that’s what I had. Thought I was missing something. Spoke with housekeeping who assured me that I didn’t have a separate shower and that I could request it. When back down to reception where I was greeted by another staff who changed my room to one with a separate shower. Then my credit card was authorized twice for the deposit which needed to be straighten out and corrected even though I had paid in full before arriving. Staff should have advised guests that there was a holiday and everything other than some cafes and restaurants not all would be closed Otherwise all was well. A beautiful city with friendly people.
I liked the hotel very much. My hassle was in working with Expedia and hotel to change my reservation by one day. Took over 4 tries and was extremely frustrating.
Wonderfully situated hotel across the Rhine River from the glorious cathedral. It would help if the hotel provided instructions for finding the way from the rail station across the busy bridge walkway in about 20 mins.
Big luxury hotel with friendly attentive staff. Lovely breakfast location and a nice bar for evening drinks. A pity our room was not properly cleaned with dusty surfaces and a broken heating system but we loved every minute of our two days here. Highly recommended.
Very clean and well maintained.
Walking distance to the train station and it takes 15 minutes to get to the airport

Used Cologne as the base as we also visited Bonn and Dusseldorf, picked the Hyatt as the price offered was excellent for the quality of the hotel. Never ate at the hotel but used the legends bar which is a nice little bar. All the staff were friendly and helpful, location wise its 7 to 10 minutes walk across the bridge into the what I would say is the town centre or if you struggle with steps walk few minutes behind the hotel and you can get to train station to grab train a few minutes across the bridge to and come out at front of cathedral
